No official post (did you honestly expect one?). Pure speculation from population bars and players viewing maps/zerg sizes.0 -
bitaken✭✭✭✭✭Fairly obvious when EP goes to full pop at 2 in the afternoon - they changed the population cap. DC was at 3 bars at 3 PM as well so there was definitely a shift in the cap.
The issue of Lag was probably the reason why. I imagine they upped the population cap by accident when craglorn was released. At least - that's my personal speculation. Lag in Wabba has been very good - was last night anyway. All three factions were locked during prime time last night and we saw little if any major lag spikes. A few - but nothing to make the game unplayable. The cap being increased by accident may also show why all the population bars across all the campaigns were at low - except Wabba which during prime time maybe climbed to medium for all three.

Halrloprillalar✭✭✭✭✭Wabba was horrific again tonight (it was pop locked). Well actually for the first bit it was fine, then the lag monster came online or something. Then 30s delay, followed by teleports, more delays, etc. I gave up.

Wolfahm✭✭✭They clearly ninja upped the cap then dropped it after failing to make it work(with out a word to the public making scores of people unsub.).. maybe in pre planing to LET US HOPE drop some useless campaigns.. and REMOVE guesting... (f**k you ship jumpers)

Zintair✭✭✭✭Lag was horrible. I got 6 loading screen moving from BRK to Chalman to defend. Then the delays that was Chalman as we tried to stop DC but could do nothing because of Instagibs without noticing your even being hit.

I find when I run in my standard sized group of 16 and we run into other groups of 16-30 it's fine. When we are running 16 and the enemy is running 70?? Well, I can barely move.

✭✭✭Key things that help (but don't necessarily solve) the performance issues:- Don't have a sixth group. Going beyond 20 in a raid is more apt to cause lag.
- Kick offline members of your group immediately. Offlines cause game stutter and lag.
I suspect, for a lot of people, the lag has a lot to do with group lag. I've run solo around Wabbajack in prime time with only a few instances of hanging, usually during massive zerg clashes. Its not an illusion, it does happen, almost every day. It makes sense though because we did the same thing to dc back when they were winning. Less then a month left until we win the campaign so they better start teaming up on us even harder.I wrote a poem that I titled, "The ganker's delight."

There are no DC groups attacking AD or any AD groups constantly in the back keep areas of DC causing havoc.
