We were indeed promised such things for megaserver tech... but I think they hit some technical difficulties when dealing with massive amounts of people, so they pulled the feature to try and make sure launch was, from a stability point, as amazing as it has been. I have been in most major MMO launches since EverQuest, and this one is the most smoothe I have seen. We don't even want to talk horror stories (WoW launch anyone?) about MMO launches where the game is nearly unplayable.

They have made tons of progress over the last few beta sessions, and i'm looking forward to what the game will become.

The devs have said that this is one of the things they are interested in getting to work. I think the problem is that, until they can reliably get group members into the same zone instance, it is premature to implement the really hard stuff.

No offense, but Zenimax has much bigger fish to fry in ESO than appeasing a few roleplayers with their own instances. I wouldn't expect anything anytime soon.
