Why don't merchants matter, as far as selling or repairs or anything? It would be a little more difficult sometimes if the brewer couldn't repair your gear, but not really and it would make the game a lot more fun. Also, why not put bonuses on selling bows to woodworkers, or swords to blacksmiths? Still be able to sell anything to anyone, but you get an extra 10% or something on your goods if you sell them to the applicable merchant.
Making this like Skyrim, where you have your skill line and could only sell to applicable merchants, might make this game a little too hard or be fairly difficult to implement all that from a dev standpoint, but something like this could be easily done to make it more fun and enhance the immersion factor. Just a thought
P.S. From the category list, this seemed the most applicable because it would make crafting more fun as well because you could get more money crafting and selling to the right merchant, but a "general" or "suggestion" category would've been better.
