Game Minimises to Desktop ..
Hey All,
I will try and detail the problems and software I think might be causing the minimize to desktop.. here are my system specs and such:
1. Intel i5 3570K @ 4.5ghz Air cooled..
2. Asus P8Z68 Gen3 motherboard all drivers updated..
3. Corsair Force 3 GT SSD Drive 180GB Latest firmware.
4. eVGA 590GTX w/ 327.23 drivers. Tried latest but the game still minimized and other games did not work back to these for know..
5. RoicketFish 7.1 sound card latest drivers..
6. Thrustmaster Cougar HOTAS (Joystick)
7. Thrustmaster MFD's USB like what is in a F-16 Fighter jet..
8. nThusim Warping software. This is I think a problematic with ESO????
9. 3 Acer X1261P DLP Projectors..
10. Gigabyte Force M7 Thor Mouse.. USB
11. Logitech illuminated keyboard.. USB
Now most times it is fine but it seems to minimize most when clicking the next message in a NPC talk lines.. Sometimes I can be doing nothing at all and it minimizes to desktop.. Really annoying especially when in Combat as it appears to happen then when clicking the mouse to swing my weapons..
Now I was abel to reduce the amount of Minimising by shutting Off Windows Aero, I use windows Basic mode so it looks like Win 98 desktop now.. I do not use a screensaver.. I am pretty sure I am not hitting the Windows key as sometimes it minimizes with my hands on my lad and I am just sitting there and ingame..
I will also attatch my DXDiag for anyone who wants to verify anything but I was wondering if this happens to anyone else but it may be because of nThusim, I still need to do some testing but I thought I solved it when I killed Desktop Aero but it still happens but NOT as Frequent..
OK if you need any more info I'll be glad to help out.. Further info I have sufficient cooling and all my fans work Plus I use a custom Fan Profile for the 590GTX wich is no where even close to hot under load it is at about 60c max in TESO.. MY CPU has sufficient cooling as well and is Prime 95 Stable..
it probally doesn't get hotter then 65c ingame..

McUsher✭✭As for a temporary workaround:
Have you tried (in Settings > Video > Display Mode) switching from Fullsreen to Windowed(Fullscreen) ?
Maybe that helps...Are you still old school or yet unprogressive?0 -
Brabok✭✭✭the really interesting thing would be the report the launcher diagnostic program spits out.
here we could see what programs you have running in the background.
chances are one of those is causing this.
i remember a few years back i had the same issue caused by Skype, though i would imagine they have fixed it by now.
check what you have running and disable all but the immediately required programs. See if this fixes it.Never argue with Idiots

WEll I do believe I solved this issue.. It was Desktop Aero and nThusim.. So I disabled Windows Aero and it has not minimized once yet..
Turning Off windows Aero solved 2 other issues I was having as well.. seems Windows Aero is very problematic..

I'd rather ask those boys over at nthusim. It is pretty probable that the multimontior tool is causing the problems.
I am not very familiar with that playing one game on a triple monitor set,
but would still try to set ingame option to Windowed(Fullscreen)Are you still old school or yet unprogressive?0 -

Yes I said it was Aero and nThusim.. But it is mainly Aero as I turned it OFF and the game works fine now and I still run nThusim.. I did ask at nThusim guys but they are inbetween programmers right now..
