Change to Dark Deal sorc conversion

Patch 1.2 reads:

"Dark Deal (Dark Exchange morph): You can now move while channeling this ability. The increase to your armor and spell resistance has also been removed from this ability."

Why???

I only took this for its usefulness in combat - you trade stamina for magica. You're temporarily gimped for all CCs and so on. It seemed like a fair balance - is there some pvp reason this was nerfed?

if anything, the dark deal should stay as is, and the other morph should get the movement, but reduced movement while channeling, since that morph is purely healing, no armor

Not sure why you are complaining or calling it a nerf. This change will finally make it usable as reliable heal source that won't get you killed trying to use it. I would rather see it retain the armor and spell resist but at least we'll be able to move with it now.

being usable on the move in combat is far more useful than getting rooted in one place and beat on while trying to heal.

Huh. Well, you guys saying this are vets and I'm only lvl 44, so I imagine you've done more content with it and see the weaknesses. I'll take your word for it.

I can't really agree with this, the reason dark conversion is so good, in my opinion, is not only the efficiency of the exchange but the fact that you can move to cancel the ticks whenever you want so you don't waste stamina unnecessarily.

I'd say that possibility to move while channelling the spell is a boost - it gives you additional mobility in the battle.

Pressing "x" (default) will interupt your spell.

I just wonder about the skill point. I took the other morph since spell resist and armor get to the cap easily. I would love to be mobile though.
I hope the skill point for both morphs gets refunded since they changed the skill fundamentally.

The tooltip in game still has the armor and spell increase/health decrease for Dark Deal, not the added mobility. What gives??

I didn't use it because of being rooted but now I can and will use it.

They didn't refund any points for the multitude of things they changed. I'm hoping it was just an oversight and they will give us our morph resets soon.
