Would you prefer ZOS to undo most nerfs, other than things that are very necessary of course; balancing in a more creative way instead of keep taking the easy way without realizing the consequences of how many people are becoming annoyed?

Or keep the nerfs and fix all the garbage so that people can make a viable build. Sta builds are total junk right now.

I want game to be challenging. Buffing weak classes to absurd levels will lead to Hello Kitty themepark.
My main is V12 Templar; it's perfectly playable and will be enjoyable if other classes are on par with him.

As a DK I am fine with the recent nerfs. I kind of wish they would change Inhale to 5 targets instead of 3, but the rest is ok.

leaning mostly on the yes side, but chose other because what is "necessary" is subjective, even to the developers, let alone biased players.

NBs and Templars have been broken since Beta.

Sorcs and DKs have been OP FOTM for three months.

I wish Zenimax had been pro-active in achieving class balance but it appears that balance will be achieved in the negative by nerfing.

When Templars were ninja nerfed as a precedent it should have alarmed the community into action demanding an immediate repeal.

Instead, the two broken classes endured rancid L2P commentary from the OP classes and no solidarity when nerfs continued to occur.

I just want what I was promised in the ESO marketing hype. Play any class the way you want and be effective. That promise is shattered by current game design.

I hope class balance is established and we can all soon have a level playing field.

I feel like they've already done a good job with the balancing changes they've made.
Catches-the-Sun - Argonian Templar - Master Smith, Provisioner, Chemist & Tailor
Valaren Arobone - Dunmer Flamewalker - Master Woodworker, Provisioner, Assassin
Kazahad - Khajiiti Arcane Archer - Master Thief

Considering for two patches straight ZOS has destroyed any viable tanking with dks or tanking period.

This is the silliest poll in the world. I'm sure that if you play PvP, you will think some things are critically necessary that a PvE player could care less about (hint hint: bolt).

Balance needs to be done based on a threshold. nerfs or buffs are irrelevant unless they correspond to maintain that threshold. if a class is above that threshold, then buffing everyone to that class will break the game (nothing will be a challenge). if a class is below that threshold, nerfing everyone to that class will break the classes (no one will be able to survive the game).

People need to stop freaking out about nerf vs. buff. once all the classes (and weapons) are at a point where people can't solo group content...but they can survive solo content...then we can look at the whole nerf/buff thing. WE can't even tell if current content is even balance right...not when 2 classes can solo not only that, but all the group content, but 2 other classes can barely survive the solo content (unless they go with a known OP weapon build).

Some nerfs really are needed. but unless we have a threshold of comparison, it's arbitrary.

Wait wait wait... wait. I just read the latest patch notes. Nerfed Standard, nerfed magma armor. Ok, *** this. Tired of playing a class that gets weaker and weaker with every update. Going to reroll.

All nerfs to Templars should be removed. The rest of them were absolutely necessary. ;)

If the weak classes gets buffed to DK levels, this game will be way too easy.

So, your favorite class/ability got nerfed and you feel like it is totally unfair that you now have to aim a little before you plant your face to the keyboard and start to roll. Bohoo.

    It's am MMO.

Like others said this is a really subjective matter.

One could say the devs think all the changes they made were "VERY NECESSARY".

Who is the one to judge?

I got mine , im certain you got yours and so on.

It is subjective but far from silly as complaints seem to be pretty high, outweighing broken missions, etc.. by far. Very necessary would include things like Batswarm being able to be cast at 0 points for sorcs/dk... or shield bash doing a lot more damage than intended, etc.. Also anything exploitable. However, there was a lot less complaining about gameplay before the nerf waves rolled in. I'm both a PVE AND PVP gamer equally. I enjoy both, so this has nothing to do with what a PVE does and doesn't care about. When they make a change, it changes for both whether you like it or not. The only thing that I've noticed consistently with fixes, nerfs, etc.. is more often than not it seems they take the basic route instead of being creative about it as to not cause waves of other changes. ZOS has a very talented team, they are more than capable of delivering changes that won't hinder the gameplay but embrace it. So far, it's been a large focus on hurting more than helping and I believe that needs to change. This is my fav MMO to date, I don't want to see it be it's own worst enemy with updates. I have eyes and ears, I read about and hear about complaints left and right. Nerf waves are never a good thing unless it's truly "necessary".

It would be much more constructive to fix anything that's not working as intended of course, and make more creative adjustments instead of the most basic fixes. This is not a f2p game, we're paying for the time and I'd rather it done right and better, as opposed to quick yet making things somewhat worse in the complaint department overall.

    LOL

    "Very Necessary"?

Subjective much? Suck it up and drive on soldier! At least that's chorus I heard recently from most DKs as a Templar recently, so now you all get a slight taste of balance and you are balking. You'll get no pity from me.

They seem to be listening to the community at least somewhat. The thing is, you can't help one class without making players in the other three mad about it. This is going to be a never ending cycle. Sometimes the changes will be in your favor. Sometimes they won't. If you're the type of person who quits over an ability, then bye.

Most classes still need a big nerf.
Sorcerers are suffering and need a lot of buffs to their AoEs and Single targets spells.

Yes VERY necessary. IE bash etc.. I'm not a DK, assume much? XD you know what happens when you assume......

So you can take that pity and.... well, just assume the rest. XD

Fix everything first and then start balancing, this will only make balancing thing take longer. I have no idea how they're setting priorities, but the only thing I can guess is that they're just going for the easiest changes rather than the most important.

I definitely agree. They have prioritized a few very important fixes, however it seems in general that is not the case.

They are the spam kings yes. I wouldn't say DPS kings. But any random sorc can run in and spam a few buttons til things drop, if not bolt away. It's definitely easy mode along with DK in comparison to NB and Temp. However I still don't like to see tons of nerfs, I'd rather things be balanced more creatively... which I imagine they have people on staff to come up with such ideas, of which we help fund their salaries via purchases and monthly subscriptions so it's not an unreasonable request.

They should have ensured all classes/passives/weapon abilities were working as intended before ANY nerf happened.
