Assuming you mean duel, as in someone of your alliance, yes, I would be okay with that. It allows you to test builds and learn strategies from friends, family, guildmates, and even lets those RP'ers, rp.

If you mean, duel in a separate little instance, and include other alliances, no.

And yes, it can be annoying if someone constantly spams you for duel requests, but that is what /ignore is for, and is no different than many other methods used to annoy players.

I'm for dueling with no random duel requests. Duels should be limited to someone "flagging" for a duel that another player has to interact with in order to start the duel.

I've said No although I'm not altogether against it as long as there's a specific place for it. If there were dueling arenas that would be fine. On the other hand it would be really irritating if you kept getting duelling requests when you're questing or in the city.

Yes, mainly for the following reasons:

- Testing builds and skills
- Practicing against friends

The ability to duel (start PvP battle regardless of relative factions and other circumstances, without outside interferece) does belong to any MMO. And I am not even going to use it myself.
Asuming there are proper ways to auto-ignore invites (or maybe even a "opt in" approach where you have to flag yourself before you can even be invited) is see no reason this cannot happen at it's due time.
If addon get a way to answer duel requests (like we can with group or guild), there would not even be any need for a new option to disable it.

I agree that without any active opt-in there should better be no archviements or quest for fighting/winning duels. Otherwise people who just want to go on will get swamped with Duel requests from peopels trying to "get it done". Maybe put Duel Archievemnts on Account level instead of Character level.
Also, very important: Show the Class and Level of players that try to invite you. I know at least 1 MMO where they forgot this very important information.

It's is also worthing thinking if people who enter a Duel should get the Cyrdodly buff for equalized chances and how this could interact with PvE situations.
Maybe only allow this in certain areas without PvE content for the beginning. Ideally realyl small instances where each group of Duelants get's thier own instanced arena to fight in.

I feel like a system like I mentioned, similar to that in DCUO, is a perfect way to do it. Only people that feel like dueling will be then and nobody gets any sort of requests other than the people that flagged for it.

I honestly couldn't care less, but I will admit it's nice not getting constant unsolicited and unwanted duel requests.
