Should enchant stats be the same on all peices?

I lean toward "yes," but don't feel strongly about the issue. We already have different enchants for armor and jewelry. Having the same glyph be less effective based on what piece you enchant with it, strikes me as "fussy" and irrational. Not making it clear to the player trying to decide which piece to use a glyph on that it won't be as effective if they use it on certain pieces is inexcusable.

I think it would be better just to have different glyphs usable on belts, etc. if they don't want to give full value enchants for reasons of balance.

Fussy, yes, I can agree with you there.

But Irrational, no that's just not right, a glove is smaller than a robe, so how can it hold the same amount of magic. It's rational thought that caused them to make it different amounts for different sized items.

    But it is fussy.

Enchanting has been my biggest disappointment of ESO. As a big fan of the single player games, where enchanting was wildly both powerful and granted large numbers of options, stuffing almost all the enchantments exclusively on jewelry has been a let down. While not all enchantments could be placed on all items I was not stuck with the three basic armor enchantments for my armor pieces at all.

Yeah, letting us us all passive enchantments on both Armour & Jewellery would have been nice. Heck giving us a balanced range would have worked too, instead half the enchantments we can create are jewellery only, and we can't craft that.

If they arent going to be the same then the tooltip needs to state so.

When I found out about this I was puzzled as to why the hell they'd do it this way.

This. I loathed how it has never even given forewarning about stats never being even; back in beta myself and many others had no idea why gylphs would never show up to the amount they were stated on all armors - many of us thought they were broken...

I voted 'Yes' though because it is a waste of gold to get less what you paid for.

The actual system is nice, promotes diversity over overcharging a stats for nothing

I didn't vote, as there isn't an option of "I don't really care either way, as long as it is clear when applying glyphs what will happen".

I can understand why belts/shoulders/gloves get a lesser amount of the enchant. I figure the head gets a full enchant because heads are squishy, so it makes sense that they are the same armor value as legs/chest, and thus get the full value of the enchant.

I have a hard time applying that same logic to feet, so I'm at a loss there.

I'd like to see belt/shoulders/gloves either get the full value of the glyph, or see something pop up when enchanting these pieces that says "enchanting this item will reduce glyph's effectiveness by x%".

*edited to add* I also think the enchanting skill is a little lackluster when compared to Oblivion and Skyrim, and I hope this is addressed in future content.
