I'd like to address a thing or two on things that bug me in some way. After some serious amount of playtime (14 days atm-vet6) i've come to understand these facts..

People don't use utility bars. They want to nuke only. Isn't that true? Pure DPS without thinking is maybe good for a game like Battlefield. This is an RPGMMO. It is important to use CC's, interrupts etc. Makes your life easy in a dungeon, you can't actually imagine if you don't try. From a healer perspective it's extremly obvious in this game since when you reach Veteran content everything changes in terms of difficulty. Please, do ABUSE CC! Of course this observation goes mostly for grouping, PUG's especially. Other things also come into perspective like...move!!! You need to keep moving, avoid red telegraphs etc. Sounds obvious but it is not.

Getting ideas from anyone for builds is just fine, of course. Kind of cliche but true. The results will be seen once you do it, on your own testing. The only downside beign the expensivve respecs. You'll know when for example while soloing you can handle 3 mobs most times with ease. But you need to find what fits YOUR playstyle. What works well with a group too. We all criticise pugs ("Pick Up Group"), yet we are the ones not thinking what we actually offer to a group. If everyone cares to just nuke, wipes are only a natural thing to occur, then tension rises etc. I'm sorry to say this but yes, some thinking is required. We get used to just go gung-*** like it's an FPS game, but it is not. Of course it is difficult to talk all this old-school way of thinking cause it may also sound a bit hard-core but it is not, it's core is the social aspect and enjoyability of it to the fullest.

Wich brings me to another thing, another fashion i should say. That of power leveling as a purpose of life almost. Like the most important thing is to reach endgame because this is the puprose. It - is - not. I guarantee you that. When people say "i reached level 1,000,000 in 5 seconds!.." i know this gamer hates games and whines all the time about almost anything. To a wider perspective this also shows the same attidute in real life, so everything is boring etc. when in fact reality is magic by itself, but let's not get too philosophical, you'll get bored... So, kiss slowly..no, ehm, enjoy a game for it's art, gameplay, social aspects, cause it makes you think. Ye, think for a change! ;)I play backgammon and chess years now and i don't expect any update soon, hopefully there won't be none cause i love them the way they are. It's the proccess, not the endgame. I can repeat something because it is enjoyable to me. (Before i become missunderstood i should say, that i'm not saying not to demand more for a game you are paying, especially month by month.)

Following this train of thought...The other thing is the advertisment i see for some Guilds or addons get from the same Developers that presumably are also gamers. (Of course this is a series as i see, and prolly they'll show off more, i just didn't like the start of it..) First off, a hard-core gamer is one that actually hates every single game he plays. Why? Because the only thing he is after is popularity, fame. What's wrong with that you may say, same thing that is with Gods, imaginary things don't help societies evolve or human brain activity and socializing skills, that is the wrong of it. This shows by the fact that the purpose of a hard-core gamer is to rush the content. Why rush something you trully like and enjoy? (Like already explained)

Addons...you don't want the screen you will be looking for hours and hours to be aesthetically pleasing? If you do, then you should research all add-ons, not just the ones that get most downloads or attention cause the Dev said it. I started with the famous ones but i tried in the end the least used and famous and man i was surprised. ggFrames, thank you man for doing such a beautiful thing, practical and enjoyable to see on my screen! I can't say all the add-ons i curently have, they are too many, but start trying out things.

Finally... Old-School is someone who thinks things through, that also talks/explains when possible etc. Someone who understands the rules that apply in an MMO based in holy trinity etc. In general a reasonable person. This is a near-extinction species in gaming, be aware. (You can presume this also but what type of gamers the Devs promote, in genearal talking). So if any Old-School-ish type kind of Guilds remain let me know, thanks.

Easy answer on your question. Most (not all) who got high lvl very fast used guides/addons/maps/quests etc to get max exp/hour. Just like a few other games we know where people only think highest level is where the game is.

These people may mean well, but just like you said, they have no playstyle. They calculated what skill/attack does the best "dps". Its DAMAGE in ESO. Dps means ****.

Those who are really interested even after this silly grind where the pretty much missed the whole game. I bet most of em didnt even read or listen to a single quest......but they will get into it.

Those who just want stuff fast are already complaining and some have left.

There is a quiet growing population lvl 40-50 right now. So maybe in a month, we have a decent amonth of Veteran levels.

Why people rush, I have never understood. However, why so many people find it awesome to buy a highest lvl char, with gear, ready to raid right away...in another game, I cant understand either. But some people like that and we have to accept it. I just dont think that type of player is gonna stay in ESO very long.
