lvl 34 main Sorc with a few alts and a fast 2nd Temp at lvl 21. like most others who've posted, any reason for taking the time to post means you give a damn. the elder scrolls sp games have a deep and well established core following, the proof is in the Mod community currently and constantly breathing new and exciting, as well as technical life into the games.
my observation here in the forums is one of general optimism with a tinge of frustration. I play FFXIV and until after 1.0 thought I'd never go back. SE proved me wrong and have a pay to play MMO which rocks.
Zenimax has a winner. ESO is for the most part is everything I'd hoped it would be if the Elder Scrolls games ever got a mutliplayer version.... with a few exceptions related to being four months old, the reality of operating mega servers, and balancing both the expectations of players and well as the in game reality of balancing skills and jobs.
and here's where I get to my title - immersed. I choose to be excited very time I log on. I choose to roam and spend my time reading most books I open and look around corners for who knows what. at lvl 34 and 21 I've experienced less than a third of what the world has to offer and am still filled with stupid joy at healing fellow players, how a solo dungeon ends up being a group of 5/6 players on the same quest suddenly drawn together by the immediate need to help one another.
the sense of it all happening in real time, no pause button and it still being the elder scrolls blows me away. there are bugs to fix... balances to be found and obstacles yet to be found - but I know we're all playing this game cause we've all been waiting for this... personally since 2007.
final verdict... as long as Zenimax stays on the ball, listens to players and weighs the difference between rants and genuine concern over game mechanics ESO has a future. peace
please let me know what you think.
