i know what you are saying i am refusing to level up by questing in the other vet areas i am just going to crag and doing quest the delves thereWhy would one do that now instead of going to Craglorn and grind bosses right now is beyond me. It is actually encouraged since the last patch .It isn't like it is bearable to level from VR7 to VR10 by doing quests anymore.
I keep seeing references to a mysterious testing team. Are these the same guys that killed Kennedy?

It's still no fun, really, but ain't a chore that way either. Just a mind-relaxing grind. Preserving the story by not partaking, I can still look forward to doing those zones again.
Well, at least that's the current plan, here's hoping I won't burn out. There's still plenty of VRs missing. And I can understand why people would want to skip it. But I'm sure I'd burn out even sooner, if I did. And I'm certain quite a few of the exploiters will do so way before me.
Exploiting - just ain't worth it.

That the endgame is so amazing that they want to rush there as fast as they can? lol There is always a group of people that think leveling is the game. These people never last long anyway.

That is the entire challenge and purpose of the game for them. They aren't interested in long term groups or having regular people to play with they just want to "go go go" and "11111" through the quests. The clearest evidence of this is that 95% of all "lfg" on zone chat in Craglorn was for Kaldara/Anomaly grinding. We have a brand new zone filled with new content, a lot of which is really well thought out and fun, and all people want to do is get VR12 so they can access endgame loot.
Some will do hardcore exploits for this purpose (dupeing and botting) and some will exploit errors in game design (grey areas) when it's considered generally accepted by a large portion of the player base and not specifically stated to be cheating (Darkshade, Fungal Grotto, Kaldara and now Spindelclutch). The moment they address one these issues players will find a new way to grind out maximum experience unless there is a viable alternative to questing.
If the developers want this sort of behavior to stop the only way to do it is to offer a legitimate alternative by offering a way to grind that compares with questing for experience (dungeons would be obvious place to start) and making questing more rewarding. Personally I felt all of the Craglorn quest rewards were a total joke especially the "Yokudan boxes" when 90% of those items are dropped by any monster on a regular basis which made it hard to argue their merit apart from "well its going to be a fun experience" to which the normal reply is "questing is boring". Sure you can say the game is not for "grind" style players but they make up a significant part of the subscription paying MMO market and ignoring them really isn't a good option.
[Exploit Removed]
Moderator's Note: Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we've escalated this to the appropriate teams.
I used the group search tool to find a group for Veteran Spindleclutch. When we approached the first boss, a member of the group informed us of a way to kill the first boss repetitively. After we killed the boss the first time, I watched the boss respawn, and immediately understood what was happening. I left the dungeon as I am pretty sure this is an exploit. I also submitted a report for this player along with a screenshot of the conversation where he explained how to do it.
I see many people in zone looking for more players for the "Spindleclutch Grind" and the use of this exploit is just bad. Very bad. Players are going from V1 to V5 in less than a day by killing this boss over, and over, without ever leaving the dungeon.
If this is NOT an exploit, please advise.
A general rollback would also *** of an very large amount of these players to quit.A general rollback would suck for the players who legitimately level.
The whole thing is just bad news.

You're worried about people getting V1->V5 in just a day when people went from V10->V12 in an hour after the patch was released?
I am starting to think that ZOS don't give two *** about exploiters.

I skip as much as possible because its daggerfall and Glenimbra makes me want to punch something.
Pompous Breton twits. Milk drinkers, all of em.

This is hardly an exploit; its a feature. It may not be what we expect but it exists and I don't know why you reported a player when they haven't broken any rules. Gold farming is against the rules; its in the ToS et al., but this? This isn't covered anywhere in the rules; there is no section that states, "if you see a feature that should work differently than you expected, do not under any means use that feature...".
Seriously, you've broken the /b/ro code.
