Allow All Zones to have PVP in it. PVE-only servers still accessible for everyone.

    I would be favorable to this idea if it was only those zones that neighbor Cyrodiil that are PvPified and players could toggle on\off their PvP status.

    For those of you who are against it. As opposed to completely separating the PVP/PVE servers to allow for open world; what if we just had a 'flag' you could set if you want to allow open world PVP or not?

    For example, if I set the flag, I can pvp other characters who also have the flag set, but players who do not have the flag set would work like they do now.

    I think this may address some of the primary concerns that seem to be appearing, such as splitting the player base, requiring additional Zeny resources, etc.

    My first MMO, so forgive me if it's a common approach and I'm just not familiar. But, in my thoughts on it, it wouldn't be enabled/disabled via engaging or not engaging in combat, but rather an actual setting in the client. Thus, you could walk into PVP Players AOE's all day as long as you don't set the flag in the settings menu. You could even have a cool-off period if it were determined necessary to prevent people from switching back and forth to gank people.

    The arguments for and against open PvP servers could go on forever with neither side ever agreeing. For me it is simple. I don't wish for ESO to spend 1 dollar or 1 minute of resources on development for PvP servers. There are plenty of games that have open PvP servers, one of the attractive things about ESO was PvP was designed around Cyrodil, and not PvP servers

    Of course not should the whole of tamriel be pvp on.
    It doesnt really even need an explination.

    PvP is part of ESO as a new type integrated into the whole game.

    I wouldnt even call it PvP, but siege/army battles for the right to rule Tamriel.

    Bad Idea. Go back to a 3rd gen game on pvp server if you need that kind of action. There are plenty to choose from.

    I don't think there should be free roaming Pvp in a game like this. But, in areas where multiple factions are in the same zone by default it should be enabled at least for that levels that match the zone. I never understood why I couldn't attack someone from the opposite faction if I see them. We are still at war. In the majority of the game you never see anyone other than your own faction so it would be fine. I think it would help establish more faction pride.

    Of course to do this I think they need a different leveling pass for bet ranks. I personally hate that I have to spend time doing quests for the other factions. I understand why they did that, so one character can experience it all, but give us the option.

    Not sure how the mechanic could work but something like once you hit VR levels all factions can visibly see other factions and enter pvp. Not sure if you would phase out lower level players (would be annoying for trading, questing, helping guildies, etc..) or what, but some way to actively engage and interact with other factions would be cool. Also I really would love to see contested terretories where it's not strictly a PvP zone, but designated questing areas for X level range where all factions can interact. I only dislike the separate PvP / PvE servers because of population, I prefer everyone to be together :smile:

    Plus the player has chosen to take on a mob around his level in a fair contest, but hasn't chosen to be jumped by one or more players 30 levels higher than him.

    You can't take it personally from a robot mob. Another player standing in your AOE in order to flag you while you're questing or fighting those 6 yaungol to get a lousy node in order to gank you is another story (and I'm on PvE servers.)

    If I want PvP, that's what Cyrodiil is for. Otherwise, no. Next thing is people will be asking to be able to loot other players.

    When I played WoW, I joined with several friends who thought a PvP realm would be fun. I thought it was a PITA. getting killed in a battleground by another player was fine, but when you were trying to complete PVE objectives it was as annoying as hell and you'd get so many corpse campers. I don't want that in this game. Keep PvP where everyone is trying to achieve PvP objectives.

    You never see any player from the other faction outside Cyrodill. What you see are always in faction VR players ? At the moment Craglorn does allow Finding to VR12 from VR1 so you can skip it.

    The PvP everywhere idea is idiotic and I only think a really bad pvp player not being able to cut it in Cyrodill would support it. I am all for more PVP zones in the future though. The contrived war in the center can get old at times.

    Because some of the PVP servers are extremely low on population, they should delete 1 or 2 Cyrodiil servers, and open 1 All-World PVP server to test out the results.

    That way, you get more populated campaigns in the remaining Cyrodiil servers, and players will have another avenue to PVP.

    PVE-Only players still get to play in PVE.

    I don't really have a strong opinion on this topic either way, but I don't think the notion itself is 'idiotic'. I, for one, would love a chance to be able to gank some bots, :smiley:.

    The same can be said of the hardcore PvP kiddies. Hard to understand why someone wants to beat up on low level players and noob carebears, just to feel like you're better than everyone else.

    I can't stand PvP and never have. In fact I would be happier if the game didn't have PvP at all since every MMO I ever played saw one class or skill after another nerfed in the name of "PvP balance" despite the fact that it drastically gimped the class or skill in PvE.

    Pvp in pve can work. If same faction and I get a request from player in front of me. But if they inturpt my pve quest thats not cool.
