Silly me for expecting people to confine their discussion to the game.

Not saying it's silly, I just know how gaming communities are and that things like this will always happen.
And the world comes to a close once again...

Once you brought real life political issues into a discussion about the game, which is what this thread is in it's entirety you, yourself, took it beyond just the game. The OP itself wasn't even just confined to the game.

What you want is for a bunch of people on a gaming forum to tell you how great and wonderful your RL agenda is but indirectly through depictions of characters in the game. Some will, others will not. In either case, the entire discussion is inappropriate on a gaming forum, IMO.

For the record, personally, I think these depictions are great. I just happen to find it highly amusing that some people in our society are so preoccupied with political correctness that they have to make this big of a deal about it, is all.

"Political correctness" has to be one of the most misused phrases ever by certain parties... Right up there with the misuse of the word agenda.

How is it political correctness for people to be happy they are included? If conversations about said are so annoying why not just go to another thread?

It was a nice post OP.

The OP must be right because I find myself really caring for some of the characters, and am really pleased when they re-enter the story at some point.
There are other that I really hate and love it when they get their heads chopped off.

It says something when you can relate to the characters in the story in such a way.

I'm into a particular subset of BDSM. Have been my whole life. I'm reasonably certain I was born with it. I'm not talking about a "once in a while bedroom proclivity." It's an ever present lifestyle thing that is as defining in my life as anyone lgbt. In fact, I've discussed this at length with gay friends and the similarities are striking. The same insecurities as a child about it. The same awkwardness in relationships as a young adult. The list goes on and on. Uncanny, really.

With one key diffence in some cases. I don't find a need to jump up and down and say "look at me" every time I see a reasonable depiction of alternative lifestyles in media or, at very least, we aren't a serial killer or a punch line. I'm perfectly comfortable with myself either way and don't have an AGENDA to be validated in movies, tv shows or video games or by people in general. Some things make a lot of people uncomfortable, most are pretty much indifferent, but in any case not getting special recognition and making a big deal of it isn't the same as being excluded. LOL

Yes, I know what an agenda is as well as political correctness and I don't need to be condescended to because you don't happen to like what I have to say, thank you.

If I had an agenda I would demand that zenimax include some accurate representations of alternative lifestyles in the game. Then I would make a big deal of thanking them on the boards and flame anyone who disagreed or thought it wasn't a big deal. LOL

But I don't. Because it's meaningless. The fact that some think it's not is what I findamusing.

@Fleymark Have you played as Ebonheart? Downstairs at the inn in Mournhold (mentioned by me in the first post) there are a couple indulging in exactly that.

And I appreciate you bringing your comment back to the game in your last paragraph.

Such a shame. This was a thread to congratulate ZoS on doing a great job with gender representation IN-GAME because this is a game forum and the best place to talk about things that happen IN-GAME.

There are other forums to talk about things that happen in that other MMO we all play called RL.

@ZOS_CarolusS could you close this thread?

Whose idea of gender representation? And yes I am the creature you think I am. I believe in biology. Arguing that a pair bond that can not pass its genes on to the next generation as a norm is insanity at its finest.

    Grats?

I will still look across the lands from my perch at Arrius, Nerf or no I will still be the Night. I may not be the hero Ebonheart Pact wanted but I will be the hero Ebonheart pact deserves.

The OP was absolutely pushing a socio-political agenda. Denial of that fact just underscores the deceitfulness of this particular cause. You seem to want to high road this debate but it was you that said you wanted everyone who disagreed with you to be banished or to die. It has been you calling names this entire thread.

People have a right to be happy. They do not have a right to force other people to accept what ever it is that makes them happy. We are talking about a sexual relationship here, is not the fact that your partner accepts and includes you enough?

Thing is, no one started any threads admonishing Z or B for adding these obviously non-traditional couples into the game because most people, myself included, do not care. I just laugh at some of you acting like a pair of lesbians or a couple of homosexuals is some moral victory in your war against ambivalence of the masses.
