All this talk about Nightblades are bad, maybe I am a good player?

I am a VR3 Nightblade Vampire with Destro Staff or as I call myself a Nightmage.
Lvl 50 in Shadow/Siphoning/Light Armor/Destruction Staff.
Lvl 10 Vampire/Mage's Guild.
My rotation for bar 1 is Destructive Clutch, Swallow Soul, Structured Entropy, Invigorating Drain, Dark Shades. Currently rotate between Soul Tether, Shatter Soul, or Ice Comet.
My rotation on bar 2 is: Swallow Soul, Shadow Silk, Twisting Path, Power Extraction, Dark Cloak. Rotation between Soul Tether, Bolstering Darkness, & Devouring Swarm.
I also have many other powers I'll toy with here & there. But for most part that is my rotation for powers. I've never felt under powered, though I have felt overwhelmed at times, for [snip] I should do.
Maybe it's cuz I am using ranged vs a melee build?

Darrett✭✭✭✭I've played Stamina DK, Healer Templar, DW/Bow NB, and Destruction Staff DK at VR levels.
Destruction DK is the strongest by far, followed by Stamina DK, DW Nightblade and Templar are well behind. The NB is much easier than the Templar, but they're probably about the same in strength.2 -

That's definitely true. My sorc is only in his teens but stuff dies in a two button rotation before they even reach me. It's all opinion but i find it way faster and I don't think he has died yet. My db has to nail a perfect rotation or he is dead.
My db is still my favorite though.

temjiu✭✭✭✭the reason is simple OP. you play with light armor and Destro staff. there are 3 things that guarantee success in ESO:
1) Destro staff
2) Light armor
3) Play a sorc or DK
3 is optional...as long as you have 1 and 2, most classes can make it. 3 ensures a smooth trip. if your DK at the moment, you can add to your success the ability to solo group dungeons in the "group trials" area.
balance is broke in this game. your successful because you were on the beneficial end of it. go play a DW NB or a 2h Templar so you can see the difference.7 -

Youre also playing againts Mobs...
1.) They dont have the ability for complex thought
2.) The first time you ran through you got a good idea of what 'named' mob does what, and how to counter it.
Sorcs may be able to burn things down fast. Sadly...you'll see a whole new game once you hit VR levels with that build. UNLESS...you are primarily using Templar skills (i.e. not the stamina ones), and wearing light armor. But if that's the case you are a magick Templar with daggers in his hands
I saw someone discussing their awesome 2h build that soloed VR once...checked into it...it was a DK with ONE 2h skill on the bar....charge. rest were the typical "EZ" modes skills in the DK's arsenal. and yeah, he wore light armor.

Most_Awesome✭✭✭✭✭People just dont read, NB are fine 1-50 you can pull builds out your arse and still complete it to lv 50......BUT.....but.....when you hit Vet rank its a whole different ball game, if you want to still feel Godly then its LA and play as a mage, anything else is just a waste of time.
I can kill Lady Solice with 0% damage taken with melee woopy doo doesnt mean they are fine, other classes can solo 12man dungeons.1 -

We absolutely know. A strong selling point of the game was to be able to play as you wanted. The class combinations were to be 'endless'. What you are suggesting is that there is a single, end-all, be-all, build for nightblades. Why should we have to resort to 1 singular build to play the game? Then at that, primarily use abilities outside of our class?

Bad players are those who only can do things with OP skills, and is very common to leave the game if they get "nerfed" (Fixed)

✭You do all know that skill balance will be a constant factor any YOUR skill can change at any moment.
When the game introduce more skills, like the 2 guilds and/ spells. You can BET that skills gets changed around to balance the whole.
