A day is a day is a day... Seriously... its 4 hours. People just need to find something else to do for 4 hours.
Am I the only one that has a "to-do" list as long as my arm at any given moment in time?
I use downtime to get more things done and out of the way so they don't interfere when I do get 'free' time to play.
Tues/Thurs would likely be a waste as they are simply too close together.
Either way, whatever day it happens it's a terrible time. So don't care about the day as an West Aussie it happens in my prime time of 8pm.

I like that this is right after the Memorial Day maintenance for which they did it very early which was probably due to attempting to impact fewer players. Seems to have been a kind way to handle maintenance which is very much needed in this game.

Yeah. I'd also prefer servers that crash every few minutes because the developers aren't on top of their regular maintenance schedule. Better that than me missing out on a few precious hours of gaming during non-peak times.

Always someone with a smartass response. there are dozens of mainstream MMOs who do not bring servers down every week for regular maintenance. then there are MMO's like WoW, who by design brought their servers down every Tuesday for 8+ hours for years. My comment was a simple, if ESO follows the WoW model, then for me personally I will look to another game with better technology

Sigh.... I guess you have decided that this has to confrontational at every step for whatever reason. Ok, I'll start to name MMOs that did not resort to server maintenance every single week for years. Not talking about patches, fixes, game updates etc. just regular old MMOs who did not follow WoW's years of bringing the server down every week (WoW case, every tuesday for 8+ hours for years)
Asherons call, Everquest, Rift, Aion, Secret World, DAOC, City of heroes, GW1, GW2, Age of Conan, Eve, Warhammer online, D&D online, LoTR, Linage, Linage 2, Star wars galaxies, SWtOR, and that's just a small sample.
Games that outside of patch's and fixes, simple let their servers run

A huge number of those do/did have regular maintenance/downtime, but either you didn't notice or you were willing to switch servers. Most major MMOs have regular downtime, and complaining about a few hours a week (when odds are you wouldn't be playing anyway) is just silly.
It is not a good idea to have it on days that are frequently holidays. It also gives staff an extra day to prepare if maintenance is on a Tuesday.
