Crazy Bot Army in Glenumbra

Did anyone else see the bot army in Glenumbra tonight? It was near the Baelborne Manor.

Seriously, there was eight of them, running around, following each other like some kind of crazy bot train, going from one imp spawn point to another, killing the imps. I managed to report six of them but after an hour of questing in that area, they were still there: Every character identical in appearance and with a name like: ffghtrq.

Later, I was harvesting iron ore when a bot popped out of the ground and stood there watching me for a moment. 'Course, she got reported too.

Seven bots reported in about three hours of gameplay. Crazy.

Only 8? That's just an everyday bot squad, it's the 25+ trains that I might describe as an army.

I counted 104 in Alik'r desert last night in 40 minutes in ONE spot and posted about it.....but you know, it wasn't important and scrolled off.

P.S. I stopped reporting at about 25 as my UI couldn't keep up.

You're more adept than I am because I couldn't keep up past. And you're right, compared to that, mine is nothing.

I don't even understand how this could happen? 104? Really? 104 characters all in one place, running around?

    Damn.

Teleport hack bots. Teleporting to one particular NPC, turning in a quest and porting out instantly.

Okay, but how do the get so many? Is it just 104 instantiations of the same character? That's what I don't understand. How do they get so many characters into a game that limits you to 8 at the most ...

Multi box with multiple accounts they've aquired by hacking gold customers' accounts or purchasing with money made from gold selling

If the names are really like "ffghtrq" then I do not get it, but big number of followers comes from power leveling - they are one party "train" completing same quests to build lvl 50 characters. The more bots trained in one party the better profit because such train must be leaded by one real person.

Ahh. Yes. Forgot people pay for power leveling too. Who pays somebody to play the game they purchased? These people are worse than the gold customers, but not by much.

This ... is .... wrong. On so many levels.

Yeah I found TWO different types of BOTS tonight. One was a "POOF" Gone and "POOF" reappeared way over there. (Fraps that one).

Second was like the road runner... harvested node and ZIP ----> way over to the next node. Both in LOWBIE zone.

ZOS needs to really fix this problem. It was funny at first and I know they have made progress, but these bots now don't give a hoot if they hide. That's how bold they have become. ZOS apparently hasn't nipped it in the bud yet. Give them a B+ for effort and D- for actual removal of BOTS.

Makes leveling a NEW character a pain unless you have stocked up mats.

I really cannot be arsed anymore to report the bots. ZOS has not taken any considerable action against it so it feels like Im talking to deaf ears.
