I'm curious how exactly the critical stuff works. I've got about 45% weapon critical at all times, and it jumps to 145% when I use the shadow ability.

Does that mean I have a 45% chance to cause a critical hit? Or does the percentage equate to more damage? I'm wondering if there is a point to having over 100%.

Also, what exactly is a critical hit? Just more damage?

a critical strike is 1.5x standard damage.

having 45% weapon crit means all your skills that utilize weapon crit (many class skills don't) will have a 45% chance to crit.

Increasing critical strike chance over 100% doesn't have any additional benefit.

Thanks, that's what I assumed, but I was a bit confused why potions that increase crit are so high if you only need 100%.

I use mostly weapon skills so that works for me.
