DragonKnight now too weak to play.

Catflinger✭✭✭To the OP: please just go skyshard hunting, spend an hour or so gathering up some more skill points that you've obviously missed, and put them into other skills. That's what this game is about; it's not about putting all your eggs into one basket and then freaking out when something like this inevitably happens.
Look, I'm leveling a DK too, and I made sure that I had not one but two ultimates available to me by level ten. That's because that even when a class is so crazily and out-of-whack OP as DKs are now, you still want to give yourself options for different situations. You still want to learn how your class works and not assume you're going to always have an instant "I WIN!" button to press all the way to the top.

Eivar✭✭✭✭The other day as a joke I started a DK, I beleive he's around level 10 now, wears light armor(no armor on chest and shoudlers) uses no weapons, he just punches and uses class skills. While my dps may be generally a bit lower, I have yet to have any major issues or fights I couldn't get past, balreth was a joke, he didn't make it into the lava once to heal(obviously EP side).
basically if someone can't play their class because shield bash got nerfed, then they're failing to see their options.1 -

I've got a level 30 DragonKnight, and I've been using the ultimate DragonKnight shieldbash plan to level up and play the game. With the most recent patch the shield bash system was dramatically gimped, and my character now cannot kill even simplistic enemies anymore. Killing anything takes a long time, and doing a dungeon is impossible without piggybacking on others.
I looked into resetting my stats, but the amount of gold required for this is nearly 10k, and I don't have anywhere near that amount of gold. I can't quest any gold because I'm too weak to kill the enemies, but I can gather resources, but selling to the NPC is impossibly slow, and there isn't any sort of Auction House system, so I don't know where to go to do any trading. Any guide I search for online either suggests the build I already am using, now obsolete, or there are guides requiring payment.
I submitted a ticket, and this was the response I got from them.

I am very sorry to hear that you are having this issue with your character and build. Unfortunately, with any patch to the game, abilities are likely to change as a balance is sought between all the various forces that fall into place to make characters what they are in The Elder Scrolls Online. Whenever an ability is to be changed, we will usually leave the ability points as they were allocated. If the ability has been changed drastically, we will free those points up so that they can be adjusted.
You can make sure to know what is happening with each patch that occurs to The Elder Scrolls Online by going to our forums and reviewing any patch notes that are placed there. If we are planning to allow a reallocation of skill points, it will also be noted there for you to review.
Obviously it's not like I'm saying it's unreasonable to change the skill, but all they did was remove my (2) skill points from the shield bash ability, leaving out the fact that all of my other stats are placed around this build, so ESO team wont help me reset my stats to correct for the change.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Do I have to start over again?

blinded-no-moreb16_ESOSoul ShrivenI'm currently a veteran 3 dragonknight. I've leveled my dk all the way to level 50 with a twohanded build in heavy armor with most points invested in magica. Only in the veteran content I invested my reserve skillpoints (I'm quite the skyshard hunter so I had about 30 to spare) in destro staff and light armor. And recently I decided to level up my sword and board whilst wearing 5 light / 2 heavy armor pieces.
The point is, no matter where you are in the game, you can decide to just level other skilllines and max out any ability you want while still clearing content in an efficient way.
I picked a DK at launch because I like fire and so far I have been able to deal with anything the game threw at me while changing skills left and right all the time.
The game isn't broken rather then challenging and if you are stuck try something new.Luxis Firemane: Dragonknight, vampire, gentleman !!!0 -

Let me see, if I understand you right: You relied on a strategy which is simple enough that a four year old could do it and now that shield bash is nerfed you're stymied? And you're asking what to do now?

Subscription cancelled due to the following facts:
- Zenimax implements more bugs from patch to patch
- Zenimax does not care about the increasing instability of the game. People have more and more crashes Fix of memory bug decreased number of crashes considerably
- Zenimax has still not fully fixed the fps drops they (!) implemented with patch1.2.3
- Zenimax does nothing to fix the massive ability lags in PvP
- Zenimax gives more attention to unnecassary 'content' like dyes for armors than fixing issues
- In patchnotes Zenimax lies about bugs allegedly fixed
- Zenimax has no plan as to how balance population in Cyrodiil campaigns
- Support is ineffective and does not even speak in a way one can linguistically understand0 -

I tanked Black heart haven with my lvl 40 sorc in a tank build. we blew through the instance at lvl. then the same players logged on VR chrs with my VR 12 heavy armor wearing DK and it was absloutely depressing expierence. our group of at lvl sorcs and 1 temp blew through the instance while our heavy wearing DK and 2 NB's all VR took longer and and died more. all they wanted was achivements.
I suspect when my sorc is V12 ill will have a far better tank that has more CC then DK. Ive no desire to make my Orc meat shield a god damn dress and stick spec the balance in this game is terrible in the VR levels.

ok... well besides that saying everything about you, i will say that Shield bash was a crutch... a boring one too.
i currently use the following skill setup, Shield Charge, Power bash, Flame Lash, Green Dragons Blood, Invigorating Drain.
i charge in and double lash, drain, then PB and double lash again.. nothing really survives this.
Power Bash works wonders as a lasting stun if you just bash and dont attack after. you can recover stats pretty easily like that.I play every class in every situation. I love them all.0 -

shield bash was a joke and in know way do i condone that. but if your using that technique in heavy armor in any multi mob pull in cladwells gold you will run out of magica by your second mob.
I was flabber gasted about how *** our AOE life tap was on lvl 40 mobs. Honestly the DK is now a caster in end game .0
