if you still convinced otherwise please help me understand in details.
i am not seeing my 500 spell resistance increase when i use any or all my dawn of wrath abilities. and yes the enemy is affected by em

Tough one to judge properly, I've tried it as well, there is no visual indicating on your stat page that you are getting the resist because those are you general stats. This is a buff you get vs that specific mob/player. As far as I know that wouldn't show on your stats.
You'd have to test how hard you get hit generally when using it, vs not using it.
it seems like i am getting hit the same ammounts, within the same range from magical, i'v been testing for more than 30 mins now on magical mobs. and my conclusion is, i dont think its working
if i understand correctly having 500 speill resistance will decrease the hit by a significant amount and I should notice it ... I really think the devs need to look into this one
hopefully if enough people gave this problem an attention, the devs will too.

I use a add on that shows my buffs that i gain through out fights or from scrolls and such in pvp and I've seen this buff appear on it before. Its pretty much always up but i think the add on has issues sometimes when buffs that are almost always on fall off. I could be wrong but if want i think its called stendarr's buff add on or something similar.
Try finding some enemy mage. Let it hit you and record the damage. Then cast a Dawn's Wrath ability. Now let it hit you again with the same ranged magical attack. Is the damage lower?
@NordJitsu - Guild Master (Main Character = Hlaalu Idas)
VR zone Auridon-
current spell resistance 1322
hits before using any dawn of wrath abilities from a mage mob ancestral what ever are:
278, 274, 248,278,274
hits after using vampires bane:
274,278,234,278,274
Hits after using power of light:
274,278,248,274,274
those numbers are the mobs normal attacks only, not including the skills.
those attacks are magical attacks, hence if i use Defensive stance, the attack get reflected and the caster get stunned.
this is just a quick test for the poster above me
I did a really long test switching gears, naked, everything you can think off earlier, didnt bother to keep the records. but the result was the same

If you are a templar test it yourself. its suppose to give 500 spell resistance vs that mob. if my spell resistance goes up from 1300 to 1800 I think i would notice it ...

The problem, is, I don't think this has any effect on the caster "normal" attacks, this would more impact when they use a magical ability that checks vs the spell resist.
It also doesn't show in your stats. Hard to test properly.
Probably the easiest way would be to find someone on the opposite faction (Caster) to help test it with you in Cyro.

I did test on mobs spells too. same effect. Like i said above, I did a prolong on test on all the possible scenario. the skill is broken. I urge other templars to test it. either the new patch broke it, or was broke before.
