zenimax wants to stick to their guns with BoP, players sick of getting gear they don't want while watching allies get loot that they also can't use but you can?

Win win solution "Undaunted armory tokens" bind on pickup drops at the same rate as the individual set pieces but can be exchange with the undaunted for other set pieces.

    Now I'm confused as to why you responded like this, the fact is it would solve the issue on all sides of the fence. Maybe introduce it as a unique reagent for crafting undaunted gear if you think that somehow it breaks the immersion having them drop tokens.

    or even have them a chance to drop black soul gems or any other kind of unique soul gem that signifies their sheer power which can be used like i said - again that works for avoiding the break in immersion

    Tokens is a very hacky way of doing it, its a solution a private servers would resort to, not something an original p2p game would do.

    I don't understand this sentiment at all. If obtaining said tokens requires successfully running/beating the V5/V10 dungeons multiple times then said gear has been earned via the same means as a dropped set item, just with a more compelling carrot on a stick.

    Tedious grinding is not the same as difficulty, and sets that simply require 100+ hours of running the same dungeons over and over again does not equal accomplishment.

    Thankyou, and the reason why 'foodstamp' gear would be better is to remove the toxic dynamic that trading would allow for. I mean - each plate item that i get and have no intention of using, i could get a grain solvent and deadra heart from deconning, that's 2k in my pocket. Am I going to give it away for free when it's the only thing i've gotten? no - I'll try and sell it for 3k to my tank. Tell me you'd rather that than foodstamped gear.

Compared to say, 24 runs for the 8 pieces you particularly want with a token system. 24 is still a lot if you ask me. Also instead of doing something tacky like foodstamps why not do something more fitting with lore and have them drop extremely powerful soulgems instead of normal grands on occasion - then say have the undaunted craft you the sets, or with a high enough crafting level - craft your own, in your own favored style. Would that be more fitting?

    Actually, only the 3 "major" bosses in each dungeon have a chance to drop one of the set items. The minor bosses only drop one piece of (traitless) jewelry each.

    well there you go, 48 runs for the 8 armor pieces for a full set using my method, upwards of 200 using zo's current method. I'll say 30 minutes per run (10 minutes to repair bank and ready up again) in a good group. 100 hours of perpetual dungeon running in an organized and skilled group to get what you want. To me that kind of sucks. 24 hours of perpetual dungeon running also feel steep, but a lot more doable.

    I 100% with the idea of soulgems/tokens. Trading the items seems like it would create too many issues and I personally have gotten 5 pieces of the cloth set which I can not use and only 2 pieces of the heavy set, while my buddy is the exact opposite :/

    because 99% of token systems have nothing to do with completeing group content . they are put in place for solo'rs to grind dailies and have access to food stamp gear. Rift and Tor's copy cat system would be ok. But they usally Decay into a Daily quest system for Solo players to grind dumb quests with low risk low skill to aquire enough tokens to purchase a dungeon drop.

    That idea works and im not opposed to a boss dropping a token to purchase the piece you want. the problem comes when Devs give into the Solo mentality and create daily quests for solo players to grind out to purchase the gear. no i am not an anti soloist. but it does cheapen group mechanics and will definately have an impact on community interaction as far less groups will run content and new relationships will erode.

    Oh of course, I agree with you fully there, but ZoS seems to have a really nice system in place for loot atm (only disregarding the BoP dungeon gear) in that people who like pvp, do pvp and get good pvp stat gear, people who solo craft/buy crafted gear for good solo stats and people who group and do dungeons get gear with good group dungeon stats. I mean I doubt people will work that tediously hard for a bunch of stamina and a group bonus to stamina regen on medium armor (especially given that your stamina regen in medium armor is going to be softcapped) when you could go with say hunding's rage for the selfish + weapon damage on abilities, or twilight's embrace for the healing bonus and spell crit, etc, etc.

    TLDR: I'm not worried that ZoS will make this viable to soloers as the set bonuses are most benificial to groups.

    You're kind of assuming Z would be happy to give you exactly what you want first time instead of having to grind endless hours for it and fill your bags with trash.

    What i suggested, like i said before would leave on average ~30 dungeon runs before you had a full set. I fail to see (forgive me if it's glaringly obvious) how that's "giving me what I want first time"
