Damagebonus from Solar Barrage?

Hi,
if i use the Skill Solar Barrage the next Attack gets a Damagebonus , except the Skill and his Morphs self. Ok, i test it out with Biting Jabs (Morph).
I hit the Enemy with Solar Barrage first and it has a glowing Aura, after that i use Biting Jabs but the glowing Aura doesnt vanish. If i use the light/heavy Attack from the Staff, it vanishs.
I thought every Magic or Weaponskill can trigger the Solar Barrage Bonus except the Spell/Morphs self?

Niffo✭✭✭Channeled abilities and DoTs don't gain the bonus. I don't know the reasons why, but they don't. Though the DoT from Sun Fire does get stronger, probably because of the direct damage portion of the ability.1
