My account was banned after my PC crashed on Character Select Screen

Literally, was doing nothing. Questing, casual stuff.

Went to bank to drop off full bags. Bank was full - logged onto my mule - got stuff out of bank. Logged back out to continue questing.

I get to character select screen... and the game crashes. Game has been doing this a lot since the patch, NBD. Go to log back in.

Find out I've been banned - "Your account has been suspended from this site." Keep in mind that not even 45 seconds has passed since I last played.

Sigh.

And before you ask... no I don't buy gold or duplicate items or do anything sketchy. :)

Edited to add that I was caught in an auto ban before, which I never got a reason as to how or why. The best part is I actually received a courtesy call from the "real" customer service team last week. His name was Matt, and he was very concerned about the issues with my account including the wrongful ban. He told me just 5 days ago that he had my account in front of him and could "assure me that everything was in order." He also told me that he understood the last process to be unbanned was far too long, and they've gotten it down to "about 15 minutes now"

Well, Matt. It's been longer than 15 minutes.

    A similar thing just happened to me. I was in a dungeon with my guild mates, and the client crashed so badly that I had to reboot my machine.

    I could not log back in. I checked my account. It said I was suspended.

    just had a guild mate that was in a Cave "Cracked Wood Cave" Skullcrusher with us in the PVP area skyshard hunting he crashed and had to reset his router I know cause he was on teamspeak talking to us after he got back online.

    Now after getting back online he attempted to log in and said account was suspended he also tried to go to his account page his @ name is @Vrok60 "Ingame account name not sure about these forums" if you all can look into this for him since he is alittle PO right now thanks.

    I was just doing skyshards In Cyrodil and experienced severe packet loss causing me to disconnect. I closed the game and shut down. Reset my router turned everything back on and hey presto can not log in and appear to be suspended from the server. I have done nothing wrong as far as I am aware. I do not buy gold or do anything dodgy. I have put in a ticket but would like this resolved. Can anyone help and put some urgency on this? My name is @Vrok60

    Just played with my friend. Tried different characters, exploring the world. But I was suspended from site just after newest patch.
    I already bought two months of game time and this happened. *Sigh* Kills my interest to this game entirely.

    Has anyone else that had this issue been sending/receiving a lot of mail? I know my friends and I send a lot of mail to each other to juggle our trash gear drops and I wonder if that might have had anything to do with it since they were trying to do something about the gold farmers?

    Sounding familiar. I just spent hours buying, improving and crafting gear for 2 chars ready for guild AvA event (started an hour ago). 45 mins before it starts, as I am restacking the full guild bank to deposit materials, the performance drops way down, I can't put things in the bank or take them out. I relaunch, because after logging across alts and to other faction mules i get performance issues. It seems worse. I try rebooting my system because next time i launch even the Zenimax splash is lagging and sound is spiking.

    After the reboot my system is making really strange noises and the launcher takes a lot longer than normal, I have the message "Your login information was incorrect. Pease try again". Good joke. eventually I check my account, because I am typing correctly....

    But I cannot find any information because "Your account has been suspended from this site"

    The guild event has been running over an hour, no callback from CS.

    I can add - no email saying "hey you got banned for such and such reason", just no email, no confirmation of recieving ANY of the messages I try to send to CS, so thinking about just trying the "FREE CS international number" here:

    I do not bot, sell or buy gold, talk smack, use nasty names, curse in the game. I just play the game, mostly alone or at times with my brother or random people at dolmens and in public dungeons. I occasionally reply to LFG requests. Please fix this. I have sent requests through email and phone support. No replies as of yet. 140524-010576 and140524-010952. :#

    This happened to my wife account as well. Not a gold buyer or a bot. Nothing illegal. We just quest and explore together.

    Her game crashed, came back today and it was suspended. No message, no reason given, nothing.

    Its quite disheartening to have this happen. And still waiting for phone support.

    I feel bad for you - I know that in the run up to a guild event with the guild I am in (it's not even a hardcore guild, just a lot of fun) I can spend a good 2 or 3 hours shuffling between crafters and bank alts to make sure my main has the best set of gear possible, good enchantments, and an empty (except for food/pots/siege equipment/soulgems/lockpicks) inventory.

    well just talked to my friend @Vrok60 in game or forums @colin_matthewsrwb17_ESO that has this problem he spent hours on hold last night after he posted in this topic and then called back this morning and got someone they said sorry all he can do is escalated the issue but it would not be dealt with until Mon - Fri 9 to 5 type of scenario

    I feel sorry for these folks... "the players that is" seeing how this happened to so many in the past and now again..

    I opened a ticket for him in game love the response it said for him to open a ticket well I am sure if he could log in he would but now he cant even get on the forums. but hopefully by him calling and getting someone they will fix it. but not till Monday geez...

    Its also making it so once you try to log on you it always times out. Same situation, game crashed, had to hard close it because all I had was a black screen. Try to log on and constant time outs and 301 errors. Filed tickets all day yesterday. Got responses of try this and try that. After third email the guy pretty much gave up and said they were "escalating it". Well, that means I won't hear anything again until next week when people come into work. My account seems fine and says active and all that, just can't get into game. This is happening all over the place. After reading different posts on this on forums all day, it looks like their sneaky new anti-bot detection measures are sweeping tons of us into limbo combined with their graphics upgrades crashing everyone. So tired of this constant fight to play the game. First it was a billing issue that is still not resolved more than 40 days later, now locked out for the new content weekend.

    between this and the login timed out error that alot of us are getting im guessing by the end of the weekend they wont have any players left who can even play the game..and no acknowledgement of the problem as of yet,im thinking they dont want to call attention to it before there three day weekend so they dont get stuck working through it,im sure there will be acknowledgement first thing tue morning..

    This happened to my wife too. We logged out last night around 8:30 PM, then the account was hacked and perma-banned at 4:30 AM while we slept.

    We have both been constantly reporting all the gold selling, we have not had anything to do with buying or selling gold, and we're far too broke in game to be accused of gold farming simply because we don't have that much gold.

    The security in this game is a joke. The security at Zenimax must also be a joke. Whoever hacked my wife's account also sent a gold spam email to her email account, not just in-game. So they hacked Zeni's database, got her email address, got the IP address that was "authorized", and then spoofed it to get into the game.

    And all of this could have been prevented if Zenimax had used AUTHENTICATORS as they had been asked to since the first beta.
