Nerf to respawn rate of Rune (and other) nodes?

Before 1.1.2 I used to park my toon on top of a Rune node on my second computer and occasionally harvest it when it respawned while I got work done on my main computer.
I've tried in a few places, but it doesn't seem like the node is respawning *at all* while I am hovering over it (I've tried 3 locations and waited over an hour to no effect).
Did they change something about respawns that I missed? Presumably, I imagine this may have been done to prevent the instaspawn Jute farming bots.

Mansome✭✭✭Bots maybe? I know they have been doing it under the map so maybe their a getting to the node before you noticed it spawned?0
