So not only is my teso fov broken but i also cant get true fullscreen working in windowed fullscreen it covers all my tv screen, but on true fullscreen it is a small box in the middle of my screen.

How do i fix this? Ive reset all my video settings to defaults and tried all the resolutions from 800-600 up, i would love the true full screen so i could get the improved fps and performance and i have no idea how o make eso take up my whole screen in true full screen and not just the center of my screen...

Thx in advance...

You don't get more FPS or performance in Fullscreen, mine hasn't changed a bit - maybe 1 FPS less if at all.

That said, the whole graphics and colors look better (not sure if they added better textures or played with the settings, so it does not need to be related to the fullscreen) - but FPS isn't better at all, but 1 or 2 FPS less.

If you are using a digital display, you may need to adjust the display setting so that the image fills the screen and not just use the actual pixel dimensions.

That being said, the actual image will be best when viewed at the native resolution of the display. So, I would recommend finding the native resolution of the display, then setting ESO to that resolution. At fullscreen, everything should fit fine.

The native resolution of my tv is 1920x1080 however when i set eso to that in true fullscreen it is still a small box in the middle of my screen. how do i adjust the display setting as i have tried every resolution in the game, and my comp works perfectly and fits te screen but in game the screen does not fit

    I dunno, zdkazz....
I don't even get the option to set my monitor to 1920 x 1080 in game anymore.

My windows desktop is 1920 x 1080, but the game video setting is a nonworking blank drop-down.

And I went from a game that ran great at a confirmed 1920/1080 to a game that now (about 30% of the time with action on the screen) displays frames as fast as the kids with the crayons can draw them, since the craglorn patch hit. Then I have to restart the game again.... which lasts about 20 minutes to 30 minutes until another restart. I can't even unlock simple chests anymore the game display got so laggy.

Edited to add: From the time I got the game in the pre-release until the day before the patch - I could play the game for 12 hours straight with hardly a prob, if I wanted to. And then: Craglorn....

If you are having setting problems then try replacing the file called "UserSettings.txt".

You can find this in: My Documents -> Elder Scrolls Online -> liveeu (or live for the US)

Either delete it entirely or just make a copy of it but make sure there isn't one when you start the game. The game will make a new one for you. You will obviously need to set all your options again in the game but it's no big hassle. Hopefully this will solve your issues.

The reason I suggest this is because there are some differences between the old one and the one that came with the Craglorn patch. It may be just what you need. It can't hurt to try.

Anyone mind explaining to me what the difference between fullscreen and "true" fullscreen is?

When an application runs in fullscreen mode, it runs in "exclusive mode". That means it has full and direct control over the screen output.

But when it runs in fullscreen window mode, it needs to send its output to the window manager (windows explorer) which then manages where on the screen that output is drawn. This takes some additional performance. The performance penalty, however, is greatly reduced in newer version of windows.

I've played this game in windowed fullscreen mode (multiple monitors) since beta and never had any real issues.

After patch 1.1.2, I noticed an unbearable amount of lag and fps dropping down to single digits at times. When I pulled up my task manager, I noticed it was running at a steady 8g of ram (out of 12g) while using 55% of my system resources (I run a core i7 4770K).

The game was borderline unplayable, as I couldn't even engage in simple combat and use my abilities reliably.

I put the game into true fullscreen mode and my ram usage dropped immediately to 4.5g and my cpu usage dropped to 20%. My fps also went back up to 55-60 fps, which is normal for me. I switched back and forth from windowed fullscreen to true fullscreen a number of times, and each time I went back to windowed fullscreen my system resources would skyrocket, and subsequently drop down to more "normal" operation when going back to true fullscreen.

I'm not sure what happened in this latest patch, but there is definitely a VERY noticeable increase in resource usage while running in windowed fullscreen mode for me.

For now, I guess I'm stuck using true fullscreen, making using my other monitor for anything a real pain. Hopefully they do something about this, but I'm not holding my breath.
