Multiple Crash Issues post patch vs Windows8

Just for general info my system is 3 weeks old an ASUS/AMD beast with 16gigs ram and a 2gig top end video card. Since patch have had multiple crash outs/black screens and enviorment not loading. I am not a puter pro so just wondering is anyone else having these same issues post patch?
