Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6
We are currently investigating connection issues some players are having on the European megaservers. We will update as new information becomes available.

All of my active quests (except main story) deleted from journal

Decided to check if "Return to Marbruk" was fixed. Yes, queen Ayrenn is actually in her residence. So, I complete the quest (finally. i'm 48. this is low 20's).

Unfortunately, after doing this. All of my other active quests (Coldharbour, Mages/Fighters guild) are deleted from my Journal.

Now I can't find the NPC to re-acquire them. There is no way for me to know exactly what those were. I can't even get a hint as to where I was with some of them. Because, ESO doesn't give one the option to see what they have completed.

Has anyone else experienced this bug?

I opened an customer support case. Response is:

"At this time we are not restoring missing quests until we can determine the cause of the lost quests..."

So, they are still investigating the cause. Fair enough. But, I'm worried that the CSR misunderstood my problem to be the quest achievement issue (which I also have). And, not the real problem. Which is my "active" quests being deleted.

I've been randomly losing quests, but seems like it's one at a time, and usually it's the one I'm in the middle of. It's not apparent at first that it's lost because it still appears in my journal, but all quest markers disappear for it after hitting some step in that quest. If I reloadui or log out and back in (like I did, foolishly thinking it woudl fix the quest) the qest would not be there anymore.

ALSO, I've had numerous other problems, apparently linked to the UI getting screwed up. I could not use Dwarven oil to improve a weapon, I couldn't recharge that weapon, I couldn't use escape to clear a dialog or screen or bring up the config menus. /reloadui would fix that, only temporarily though. It seems to spontaneously break now and again.

And the last issue is that no longer do you get a dialog or confirmation screen when you try to log out or quit. I thought at first it was not working at all, but apparently it was as I was logged out anyway.

This is absurd. I spent too much time trying to figure out the UI issue, and when I finally figured that out, I wasted so much time trying to do quests only to have them aborted in the middle. I'm very dissatisfied right now. This patch was not even close to ready to go live.

Since posting this, I've read several accounts of others (in CH Zone chat) reporting similar issues, with active quests being deleted. Some even reporting Main Story quests deleted, as well.

I fear further inconsistencies in player's quest chains, a people continue to re-acquire and complete quests, while the bug is still present. I'm a little bit surprised they didn't take the servers down, in order to get this sorted out.

For me, it happened after I finished the "Return to Marbruk" quest. But, now I think that was simply a coincidence.

Some have reported a correlation with not completing certain quests in the chain, prior to entering Coldharbour.

Bugs that block progression can have dramatic negative effects to player morale. Hopefully this is sorted out soon.

I just logged in like ten minutes ago and noticed all my quests including the main one were gone. Its like I never went and got them in the first place. However I haven't checked my higher level character to see if it happened there too. Hopefully not since I had gathered a bunch of quests and to get them again would be a huge pain.
