I listen to metal but it it's very broad and goes into the alternative category and these days, Retro too I suppose.

I generally listen to Alice in Chains, Royal Blood, Type-O Negative, Sisters of Mercy, Rammstein, Marilyn Manson, Metallica and some lesser known bands.

For hard-core kill-fests I put on 'Seek and Destroy' by Metallica :)

I am a huge Type-O Neg fan though and still mourn the loss of Peter Steele. I almost always have a few of their tracks in my playlist whilst I get about my business in-game.

Currently Hockey and Basketball playoffs with the ESO sounds turned way down. When no sports on, a mixture of all of the above since I have lived through all those decades

Wow Peter Cetera...haven't heard his name for 3 decades. I remember that one of his songs was used for The Karate Kid 2 which came out when I was in my teens. Good call :)

This past weekend I was listening to a heavy rotation of Majestic Casual, The Sound You Need, and La Belle Musique channels on Youtube. However I will say my Dead Can Dance playlist really takes the cake (sweetroll?) as far as good, theme-fitting music that enhances my experience.

Man, people are pulling out some awesome stuff. Dead Can Dance brings back memories for me. This is starting to make me curious about the demographics of our players. I think that many are probably of similar age to me having evolved music tastes through the greatest music decade of all time....the 80's!

I remember The Exploited from the early '90s...pretty hard core punk. As a metal enthusiast and guitarist, I know about the rise of Punk in the '70s in the UK. It occurred much to the dismay of bands like Judas Priest, Led Zep et al.

However, it was a backlash against the perceived establishment and control of the state. A lot of metal venues became punk venues and metal went into the wilderness for a bit...but not too long :)

Cool. I do too most of the time. The music is incredible and fits the landscape and surrounds. Its great as you descend into dungeons or into danger.

Sometimes though I just need that bit surge of energy from my own music to have a bit of fun. Kudos to ZOS for all of the audio input made for the game.

Can't believe you don't have drunkard singing.

Anyone has the lyrics to this song? I only know the front part.

I've been listening to A Song of Ice and Fire audio books lately.

Read them once, so don't feel the need to pay much attention... But good to refresh my memory and ensure I remember the differences to the TV series.

Two Steps from Hell and City of the Fallen are both great bands to listen to for ESO. Though, sometimes I just queue up the Skyrim soundtrack. Here's a sample if the OP is fishing for recommendations:

I listen to no music. ESO's music is off and my headphones are on. I find games are much more immersive without music in them.

Most of the time the game music since there is to much dialogue in the game for me to bother with turning the music on and off. If grinding I am going with mostly death and thrash metal.
