I liked the mages guild more because I love that crazy lord.
However the fighters guild was a better story, IMHO.

@Blackwidow I prefer the Mages guild quest though, FG was too predictable IMHO.

Sadly the Eidetic Memory is available regardless of choice. Boils down to the choice of agreeing with Uncle Sheo's weirdness and getting that 2 SP or being the hero saving the damsel in butterfly world, and getting back plain old Valaste the bookworm.

I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't finished but I saw the fighters guild "twist" 10 minutes into the chain.
They also made it far too obvious it was going to happen by putting heavy blame on another character early on. When that happens so early in a chain you know there is going to be another twist .... and the character behind it all acted shifty from the start.
At least the mages guild had some amusing quests.
And the wabbajack.

Morolivrim21Soul ShrivenFighters GuildThe fighters guild story was so..predictable and boring. The mages guild story was funny at several moments. Now in terms of skill lines? Fighters guild skills but just barely. I play a stamina based bow assassin nightblade. Flawless dawnbreaker + hundings rage set..so good. With silver shards is awesome, but Camouflaged hunter...is amazing.
+ Hit shadowy disguise, piercing mark, camouflaged hunter, and hit snipe...hitting 2-2.7k on vamps and werewolves..priceless.
Mages guild is nothing to sneeze at either. Radiant magelight with 50% decreased dmg from stealth attacks..nice nice. Volcanic rune would be on my bar all the time in pvp and pve if i had another slot, and meteor is just plain fun.0 -

Particularly the passives, and Silver Bolt/Shard for solo play (Which, quite frankly, is incredibly OP and makes most undeads/daedras a joke)0 -
Anvos✭✭✭Fighters GuildWent with fighters guild do to the bonuses against undead, werewolfs, and deadra, and since their passives actually do stuff if you don't fill your bars with primarially guild skills. Plus silver bolt is fairly useful.

Fighters GuildI picked fighters guild. While MG has indeed some fancy skills, they are all MG only. You go full into it or you dont take it at all (except persuade). FG passives are an interesting choice to consider for every build.0
