Umm.. No?
Unless you can prove arenas or dueling can hurt this game.

Because that is not happening now?

lol you think this is bad, put in arenas. You will see the difference in what I am talking about then.
Also there is a difference between broken mechanics and nerfing / balancing a class.

Yes, this is not my first MMO.
However, if the classes are really that out of balance, then there is a whole different problem.

The pvp was balanced for GvG. It works to an extent, it needs minor tweaks here and there but for the most part is ok and I think it will be better balanced soon enough.
Adding a small group or 1v1 scenarios in there. You dont' see potential issues. Especially with the mindset of modern day MMO gamer? Absolute nightmare.
We are DIVAS all hiding behind our monitors making demands on companies we know nothing about.

Because I disagree with you.The pvp was balanced for GvG. It works to an extent, it needs minor tweaks here and there but for the most part is ok and I think it will be better balanced soon enough.
With even smaller pvp, the balanced can be fixed quicker.Adding a small group or 1v1 scenarios in there. You dont' see potential issues. Especially with the mindset of modern day MMO gamer? Absolute nightmare.
Here is where i am coming from. There are so many combinations, I don't think there can be any one "winning" set of skills.
However, if there is a power that stands out as really weak or really powerful, they can see that by how much it is used.We are DIVAS all hiding behind our monitors making demands on companies we know nothing about.
ZOS does not have to bend to every QQ posted.
The one thing WoW devs resent adding to the game and would take back if they could? Arenas

I'd really love the ability to 1v1, 3v3 or 5v5 in arena pvp. A small objective like take the flag or capture points just like in GW2 but please don't make the same mistake they did and allow us to use our own gear in the arena and not give everyone stock gear.
5v5 arena would also teach invaluable team work skills where every man counts. I'd prefer to see actual arena style maps as apossed to small worlds... GW2 hit the nail on the head pretty much with arena pvp, it just sucked that you could not use your own gear.
Kewljag_66_ESO wrote: »Why do you need an Arena to have your 1v2, 2v2, and 5v5s ? They already happen everywhere in Cyrodiil. these small skirmishes are endless, you just need to stop following the zerg and go to the outskirts of the zergs and keep sieges. Just go to the areas where enemies have to travel to get to the hot spots. you can ambush all day long and have group vs group fights. many groups roam looking for other groups.
Every type of PVP you want is already there. You just have to go find it because teh game doesnt hold your hand and make matches for you like otehr games do
I'd rather keep pvp to large scale.
ESO is already becoming too close to a WoW clone with raids being introduced next patch. Adding arena to it will make it even more so. WoW has an expansion coming soon so arena junkies can get their fix there still.
I don't think they should copy WoW and join the club of games that make Arena mandatory for all of its players.

OMG! Not a WoW clone!!!!
Can't somebody think of the children!!!!I don't think they should copy WoW and join the club of games that make Arena mandatory for all of its players.
Yes, because that is what everyone is asking for. To make arenas mandatory for all players.
"rolleyes"

The rewards for winning arena should be some AP, gold and arena currency that we can use to buy arena based gear which increase flag capture time, does more damage to players in arena and take less damage from players or something like that.
Almost every singple mmo to date has open world pvp and arena pvp, why Zenimax has to be different and break it? It works, people enjoy it and it can become very competitive.

Zenimax, please please do this for us!
I know this sounds crazy but what if you play a game that is made and balanced for Arena PVP?
Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.
He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

Because you and I both know people will come here and cry for nerfs because they got beat in a match.

So you're saying they should implement something into the game that gives absolutely no positive feedback/reward for engaging in it?

There is QQ all over these threads about balance.
