Vampire Quest Question

If someone bites you, is there a set time you have to complete the quest? Example someone bites me today and I go and level a weapon to be better prepared and come back say 10 days from now to do the quest. Thanks!

Yep, you have to do the quest in 7 days, you have a buff on you with that timer. I would do it instantly, though, in case there is a maintenance and it messes it up (removes it). Such things can happen.

Press C and the buff will show at the bottom with time remaining to complete the quest. I got my vamp quest done at 20, some have claimed it at 16 and with it being foes at 42 I suggest levelling a bit before you get bit, it will make it easier. I got bit at level 8 and had to go away for a few days so only had 3 days to level up and and got it done with about 10 hours to spare out of the week long buff lol.

Yeah I was bitten yesterday. Tried to take out the first one of the ten and didn't do so well, LOL! I am level 22 and have level 45 bow and swords. Bow does frost damage and swords do 10 fire per sword. I have a set of heavy armor mixed that has added health but I hate heavy armor. Not sure I can do it with medium but I will take it with me. Wish me luck!

Well to add, my vamp is a DK, I went the fire abilities, vamps <fire

I had heavy armor with added armor value trait, I had self heals, potions that refilled all three stats and you can also modify the last 3 skills on the bar you get given in the vamp level, hope that extra info helps you.

I tried doing the quest from level 12-20 something. Couldn't do it. I'm a nightblade healer. Completed it at 30 tho

Probably could've done it sooner. but i waited to 30.

Ok earlier in the day, i got bitten by a blood fiend. But due to not realising i had to go to a wayshrine to get the actual quest, have i screwed up my chances of becoming a vampire? I can't seem to get the actual quests for it. My buffs still show i have vampirism but no quest. I went to many wayshrines (day and night time) but there is no quest giver. What do i do now? /sigh

I am not sure. I was bitten at the shrine by a kind vampire player. I then had seven days to kill the 10 to get the blessing. I killed them and then was blessed by Lamae.

This is a very good guide that shows how to do the quest if you are infected by a fiend. It seems that you should have seen Vorundil, he will appear when you are infected with Vampirism.

Thanks, i went to a wayshrine and walked down the path away from it and spotted Vorundil. I picked up the quest and completed it. Thank goodness. I didn't want to have to stand around waiting for a spawn any more than i had to. :P

To clarify, you have 7 days to accept the quest after being infected by a Bloodfiend (or Warewolf) and as far as I know there isn't a timer on the quest itself. I know of at least 1 guild member who had the quest for almost 3 weeks and was still able to complete it and get turned into a Vampire. BUT, there are a few things that you should NOT do in the interim. Do NOT "cleanse" yourself from the Templar ability before accepting the quest, it WILL remove your infection. Also you should at least grab the quest asap as it's possible that an unscheduled maintenance might wipe the infection as well.

The mobs are level 42 and can be EASILY kited (Vampire quest). The lowest I know it has been done is level 8 and it took him over an hour. 10+ with good crafted pots and at least all green gear that's at least white glyphed would be preferred obviously.

It must be different for those that are bitten by players then because once you are bitten you have seven days to complete it or lose it. I even went in the temple and spoke to all the NPC's and such, just didn't kill the 10 and my timer kept counting down.
