No - why promote a system that helps gold sellers... the lack of an AH has forced the cheaters & gold sellers to go 'public'. It may not stop the bots but, as a crafter, I know damn well if someone is offering full stacks of golds mats they are dodgy.

In time when I have collected the basic mats I will start a guild aimed at allowing new players to get their stuff together and avid even having to consider cheaters & sellers.

Yes, but I'm afraid it wouldn't work very well with the amount of bots running around.

I would be much more open to the option of "Guild Alliances" allowing guilds to trade with other guilds. That makes the guild stores reach a wide variety of people outside the normal members while at the same time, keeps the botters from flooding our huge auction house.

I voted NO ! I want the bugs squashed and the Bots lessened first then we shall see if we could add an AH . Either way I could care less if they add it or not , just fix the game first .

I voted yes however im sure i read somewhere that guild stores would eventually be able to sell there wares to others *or i could be dreaming* if thats the case then im all for it. However the current state with people selling stuff is bad enough without a global auction.

I voted "No" because this game is on a Megaserver. In a game with different smaller servers auction houses work fine, but because EVERYBODY is on the same server any items that would be considered "rare" or "valuable" would quickly saturate the single AH and the prices of those items would drop drastically. I think the quickest way to ruin the in-game economy would be to have a single AH for every single subscriber playing the game.

On top of that, players can filter bots out of their own guilds and shutdown bot access permanently. You really can't control that when the AH is openly available to ALL players, regardless of whether or not they actually have a pulse.

I think what Zos should work on instead is improving the efficacy of the current guild based auction houses- make them more user friendly and improve the search functionality as well as how they categorize items in the guild auction houses... I'm sorry, I mean "Guild Stores".

As it stands, you can join up to 5 different guilds and you can access your guilds from any character on your account regardless of faction.

As a bonus, there are currently entire guilds devoted to buying/selling/trading between players and they don't do anything else- you don't even have to talk to those people if you're not interested in being social... in an MMO... which seems kind of counterintuitive, but whatever.

An auction house on a mega server is bad. There would be millions of people all using the same auction house. The market would be flooded with ever concevable item. Everything in the game would be worth pennies. The only people that would benefit are gold sellers that use bots to farm in bulk.

I am in two trade guilds both well over 400 people. So right now I have roughly 900 people to buy and sell with using the guild store. Aside from not having a search option, it is working just fine and there is an addon called guild store search that is ok in the meantime.

GW2 tried an AH with a mega server, and the economy in that game is terrible as a result.

I voted yes because I haven't been able to find any of the things I want in the guilds I am in. And I don't think spending time into Zone chat asking over and over for the things I need is the solution.

Emptying by bag while doing a dungeon in GW2 to the ah was cool.. but I am happy either way teso.

Now.. if they release a web api with the right content, then they could leave it up to people like me or esohead to handle the AH... but no way of doing that without account info being sent back and forth from a web site to the game through an addon. To much of a security risk.... unless they can hash passwords from the game server, to their webserver, to a AH site, and then backwards to the addon. But that's so unlikely.. it's stupid for me to have even brought it up lol.

Our current bank lacks a filtering or searching mechanism. The broad categories are just too broad. I would like to be able to just look at medium armor, level 33-38, or all metals, etc. I'd like to be able to type in a few letters and have the bank filter the names or descriptions. Without this sort of thing in place first, like nearly every other MMO, an auction house really can't function. So bank function first, then auction house.

I honestly don't think that many of the people voting yes understand how a global auction house would effect the game or how difficult it would be to make anything less. They just don't have an auction house and want what they don't have
