KrisFahring✭✭NoAnd all the botters say "yes". Please do not ruin our economy by letting the botters run it. Every gold selling hack would crash the game with all the stuff they are trying to push on everyone in the game. The current system works perfectly IMO because in order to get into the guild store they actually need to be part of that guild.
I don't see many gold selling spammers in guilds if they are they are kicked out shortly after they start spamming.10 -

✭✭NoNo - why promote a system that helps gold sellers... the lack of an AH has forced the cheaters & gold sellers to go 'public'. It may not stop the bots but, as a crafter, I know damn well if someone is offering full stacks of golds mats they are dodgy.
In time when I have collected the basic mats I will start a guild aimed at allowing new players to get their stuff together and avid even having to consider cheaters & sellers.9 -

It's not perfect but rather than just scrap it why don't we work with ZOS to find ways in which the current guilds system can be made better like stores rented in hubs etc, let the famous trade guilds build their fame from their quality wares.

✭NoI would rather have the option to turn myself into a merchant that people can browse. Toggle the ability and select items you want to sell and set prices, then people can approach you and use you like an NPC merchant. Maybe even restrict the ability to certain areas, like main pathways & towns. Or even a dedicated market area.
It just seems like adding a global auction house goes against logic. It's bad enough we don't have to go to the bank(or post office) to get our mail, and we can talk to people across vast distances at the press of a button, lets not include an internet like shopping experience too.[DC/NA]7 -

✭NoI said "no" because bots do not have access to the current system or it would be very hard for them to create a guild and attract people to join it. And even if people did join it, it would not be too hard to figure out the guild is fence for bots so it would be like them saying "hey, Zen, ban me!". I'd prefer if we could expand the current system to include networks of guild stores so as to increase the amount of stuff sold (like an AH) but again, because they would be part of guilds, no bot sellers.0 -

✭Noi have said this idea many times, it is not a global AH but instead it is a zone market, each city has its own market. The sellers name would be next to it (not the @ but the name itself) would make spotting bots easier. It would all so allow for people to sell items..easier though i am honestly against it. The reason i threw this idea out there is the fact that it will not be as easly abused by gold sellers, and it will provide a way for those who want an AH to sell. You can even do what tera did, if the person is online allow them to click a button to barter the price.IGN: Ki'rah

tylarthb16_ESO✭✭✭YesI want access to niche and specialist markets, I want to trade without the need to spam into most suitable zone's chat. I'd like to sell and buy items that would otherwise be vendored due to insular and narrow avenues of current trade.
I don't give a skeevers backside about the impact on bot trends, as that even without an AH is the worst of any MMO I have played. With an AH atleast players can generate more personal income and lessen possible temptation to use RMT.0 -

✭✭✭NoI voted "No" because this game is on a Megaserver. In a game with different smaller servers auction houses work fine, but because EVERYBODY is on the same server any items that would be considered "rare" or "valuable" would quickly saturate the single AH and the prices of those items would drop drastically. I think the quickest way to ruin the in-game economy would be to have a single AH for every single subscriber playing the game.
On top of that, players can filter bots out of their own guilds and shutdown bot access permanently. You really can't control that when the AH is openly available to ALL players, regardless of whether or not they actually have a pulse.
I think what Zos should work on instead is improving the efficacy of the current guild based auction houses- make them more user friendly and improve the search functionality as well as how they categorize items in the guild auction houses... I'm sorry, I mean "Guild Stores".
As it stands, you can join up to 5 different guilds and you can access your guilds from any character on your account regardless of faction.
As a bonus, there are currently entire guilds devoted to buying/selling/trading between players and they don't do anything else- you don't even have to talk to those people if you're not interested in being social... in an MMO... which seems kind of counterintuitive, but whatever.5 -

✭✭NoAn auction house on a mega server is bad. There would be millions of people all using the same auction house. The market would be flooded with ever concevable item. Everything in the game would be worth pennies. The only people that would benefit are gold sellers that use bots to farm in bulk.
I am in two trade guilds both well over 400 people. So right now I have roughly 900 people to buy and sell with using the guild store. Aside from not having a search option, it is working just fine and there is an addon called guild store search that is ok in the meantime.
GW2 tried an AH with a mega server, and the economy in that game is terrible as a result.Edited by Alphashado on May 21, 2014 2:26AM7 -

✭NoI vote no. As someone that played WoW I know how much control a single person can get over the market by using the Auction house. As it is, the system in ESO prevents that or at least gives new crafters a chance to make some profit of their professions.
Having the guild stand would be ok though.1 -

Bots need to go period. That has nothing to do with an AH. They ALL need to go. That's Z's job. AH or no AH, the bots will ruin the game. Not having an AH is not helping the bot problem. It's silly to use your argument against an AH because of bots. BOTS JUST NEED TO GO!2 -

I would be happy either way honestly.
Emptying by bag while doing a dungeon in GW2 to the ah was cool.. but I am happy either way teso.
Now.. if they release a web api with the right content, then they could leave it up to people like me or esohead to handle the AH... but no way of doing that without account info being sent back and forth from a web site to the game through an addon. To much of a security risk.... unless they can hash passwords from the game server, to their webserver, to a AH site, and then backwards to the addon. I would like to be able to just look at medium armor, level 33-38, or all metals, etc. I'd like to be able to type in a few letters and have the bank filter the names or descriptions. Without this sort of thing in place first, like nearly every other MMO, an auction house really can't function. So bank function first, then auction house.0

✭✭NoI honestly don't think that many of the people voting yes understand how a global auction house would effect the game or how difficult it would be to make anything less. They just don't have an auction house and want what they don't have1
