Mobile also not working for me, home sceen is blank. I use an iphone. I had to click the full site link, set bookmarks for all the threads i access, then clear my cache and cookies to get mobile back. I can access the threads via bookmark but not by forum menu.

Put the option to upload pics direct from PC back onto the General Discussion forum ! ! !

That just eats server space. Host it and link it. That works.

And I wish theyd change the default format. I changed mine to jpg but Ill say dling 7mb screenshots on my phone is slow as hell.

    1. I enjoyed using the option to 'Mark All Read' in a subforum to make it easier to track which threads were new or had new posts in them. Unless it was causing an issue, I'd REALLY like to see this back.

    2. It would be appreciated if the navigation menu at the top of each thread, (Home > Forums > (forum) > (thread), could ALSO be placed at the bottom of the page as well.

    3. Language Separation - I do not care in which order, but having the mixture of all the different subforums that include duplicate subforums in a different language makes the 'menu' seem just a bit too cluttered. If they could be separated, navigation and selection I feel would be easier.

    4. Server Status/Maintenance subforum has poofed. Does this mean announcements that were previously posted there will now be posted in Official News/Patch Notes? I ask this because today the NA megaserver did NOT go down for the weekly scheduled maintenance but I wasn't sure about it not happening until the scheduled hour came and nothing happened. That I'm aware of, besides a forum Moderator replying to a user-created thread, there was no notice posted about this.

The Server Status section was removed, we'll be announcing server downtime with the forum-wide messaging system going forward. You can also check out the service alerts section on our support site.
Hope to see this implimented soon then!

    5. In the Post Comment section at the bottom of the page of threads there is a quick click option to Bold, Italisize, and Strike text but although the code can simply be typed out, I request the quick click option for Underline as well.

I kinda like the new section split, but I still don't understand why you need to split guilds between PVP, PVE and RP, effectively forcing multi goal guilds to choose only one aspect to advertize themselves in. Why not simply putting guilds per language and that's all ?

I would like to add to my list of suggestions:

    Guild Recruitment Forum
    -Any Faction Recruiting
    -Daggerfall Covenant Recruiting
    -Aldmeri Dominion Recruiting
    -Ebonheart Pact Recruiting

It's difficult to find the RIGHT recruitment threads you may be looking for because of the NUMEROUS abbreviations in almost all of the titles. I don't care HOW it would be implemented, but only that being able to sort threads by faction be available somehow.

The only way they could do it is to have an overall Guild recruitment forum with faction based subforums.

And you should always care how they do it, or they'll say write it down on a piece of paper and they'll drop it in a barrel outside their offices, and anyone who wants can come and rumage through the barrel.

Just a note: can we PLEASE have the server status forum back? Or tell me where it is hiding.. or maybe an actual PAGE like most MMOs have that says the state of the servers.

I know that there are planned days for maintenance, but they seem to be switchy and I like to know how to plan my afternoons so I can get a bit of ESO in :)

And I know it is slightly straying from the topic, but it does relate to the forum changes and I can't find the forum at all :/ So if it is gone would like it back or replace it with something better.. and if it is still here, it isn't easy to find.

EDIT: I saw the thing about the Server Status page.. I don't like it. I mean, I like to KNOW AHEAD OF TIME when it is going down. Not just "oh the server is offline now". That's useless. I can find that out by trying to log in.

As for the language thing. I am NOT AT ALL bothered by other languages.. as an anglophone living in France, I'm very open to foreign languages. I just feel that the forums DO look cluttered. Better to separate them, make it easier for EVERYONE.

Just a few thoughts on forums moderation.
Sorry to say but I will be once again linking to the EVE Online forums where I can use it to create good examples.

I'm not sure on the size of ZOS forums moderation team and their willingness to spend funds improving this area but some better moderation in regards to duplicate threads, official discussion areas might be nice.
Also there is the chance for ZOS to create or take on volunteer forums moderation teams which could handle more basic tasks on the forums. Link to EVE Online's volunteer forums group.

Currently there are A LOT of duplicate threads about botting, gold selling and the nasties infesting the game right now. I would love to see some moderation where one official thread is created and pinned for all discussion on this subject then duplicate threads locked, a post stating players can discuss the issues in the main thread and a link to said thread. Example.

Post in combatting-gold-spammers-on-the-forums thread, you can name and shame in that thread, so ZOS can do something about it.

Couldn't agree more. I'd also like a notification when the scheduled server maintenance has been cancelled - like they used to do on the Server Status page...

This Monday was the perfect example. There was no communication that it was cancelled (or none that was easily found) and I didn't get any notification which is supposed to be the new method. Plus, the service alerts on the support page are no help because they haven't been updated since 5/16.

If this is how the maintenance is going to be handled in the future, I'd rather just have the Server Status page back.

That's a good point actually; if we are not having a Server Status forum anymore (which is still the better option), and I see the devs posted in the forum message that there was no scheduled maintenance today, that same post should be added to Service Alerts on the Support site as well.

In a nutshell: Maintenance messages 6-12 hrs in advance please on both Service Alerts and the popup Forum Messages.

The features are decent (vote options, saving drafts, etc) but the overall design remain horrible. What's going to happen when the console version release? Are we going to have to look through 50 darn boxes before finding the right forums?

How the layout somewhat loosely imagined should be:

    - News/Information mainforum
    --- Developer/interviews/etc subforums

    --- PC/console/Mac technical support subforum

    - General/main mainforum

    - German mainforum (with all subforums as above)
    - French mainforum (with all subforums as above)

    - Archived mainforums (if you ever create temporary forums for event things)

You just saved me a ton a typing...

I would BOLD your first line though... that has been the most annoying thing from the very beginning as it completely clutters everything... why make us choose a language when it has no use...

Language selection only affects main sie not forum contents as intended.

When I signed up to use the forum it required I select a language..not for the main site everyone around the world can see and use. They built the At a Glance layout to be easy to read and find what you want...dont need it in 3 different languages all a the same time which makes it kinda hard to read... would think that type of filter would be easy enough to impliment especially for a AAA company like ZoS.

If it's working as intended to force me to view the same content in three languages then wow... just wow.

Where's the Chines and Russian forums...gotta think they have more players than the DE or FR forums do...

Go click those language buttons. It only affects main page text, not forum names, headings or thread language. Almost never does.

Especially since most DE and FR can read EN and will often check English threads for information not found in the DE or FR forums.

So because they prefer main site language in say German they should only see German forums because skipping over them is difficult for you?

There definitely needs to be a way to filter out the languages you do not need as that is the most confusing issue with the ESO forums, at least for me.

There also should be a forums dedicated to Role Playing so ESO players have a place they can post their stories about their adventures to share them with those who want that sort of thing.

Seems like ESO development completely forgot about RP because as it stands now if someone in my RP guild asks for my help in more then half of the quests, including the main storyline, the fighters guild storyline, and the mages guild storyline.

I have to tell them I can't help them because I have already completed that part of the story and therefore the phase of that instance will not show me what I need to see to be able to help them.

In a lot of the quests I can not even get into the same phase as them and all we see of each other is the ^ mark that is above the heads of your fellow group mates.

So when ZOS decides to add in the other Elder Scrolls NPC guilds, like the Thieves Guild and the Dark Brotherhood, us RP'ers will once again be left wondering what the Zenimax team was thinking when they designed an MMO to play like a single player game.

So if you could at the very least add in an RP forum for all three languages that would go a long way to say that Zenimax does indeed see the problem with RP in ESO and they are working to correct it.

Thank you very much for these changes. I can stand seeing other languages, though they are annoying. I really love the more generalized and open topic areas!
Ruze Aulus. Mayor of Dhalmora. Archer, hunter, assassin. Nightblade.
Gral. Mountain Terror. Barbarian, marauder, murderer. Nightblade.
Na'Djin. Knight-Blade. Knight, vanguard, defender. Nightblade.

    XBOX NA
Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.

He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.
