Player gestures

I recently teamed up with a random passer-by so that we could go at a world boss together. After some successful slaughtering, we parted company...... Now, it's distinctly possible that I've been playing too long and was delirious, but I'm pretty sure the player waved at me to follow him, and when we were done bowed toward me with both hands pressed together in front of him before he left.

Does anyone know - are these player-directed gestures, or just the system-generated animation of a player when you ask to interact in certain ways with another player?

I just lurve the idea that I could gesture to another player. Might even drop a note to the devs with a few gesture ideas....... Player gets in my way.....my character flips other player off.....rinse.....repeat......

You can also find a list in-game by typing /help (or hitting F1) and searching for "emotes" then clicking the top link.
