Will ZOS ever fix skill effects that hide our paid weapon styles?

Just asking: will ZOS ever properly fix things like Tome-Bearer's Inspiration, Molten Weapons , and other skill effects that hide or replace our weapon cosmetic?
I mean, I used to buy almost every Arms Pack and weapon style that came out. I only skipped the ones I really didn't like.
Now? I skip all of them.

So, will ZeniMax ever actually fix this? Do they even care about the money we're spending on these cosmetics? Does Microsoft? Or is it something less important whether players buy them or not?

Molten Weapons was "fixed" ages ago by a skill style. Get it in the Gold Coast Bazaar for free.

No, it's not fixed. If another player casts Molten Weapons, their skill effect can still hide my weapon cosmetic.

    This isn't really a solution.

I think its funny that they nerf weapon style sounds, but I have to listen to the stuipd wipping sounds that igneous now makes. I really hate what they did to the visuql and aufio of that and many other skills.

This commemoration is for the class that has constantly been plundered and dismantled by designers for no obvious reason while other classes continue to have coherent skill lines and feel both powerful and cool.

I want grim focus to get a fix, when will that be fixed? Sorc gets yellow overload fixed but Grim focus doesn't get their weapon glow to match their skill style? [snip] I have this new green grim focus skill style from the tome but it glows red! My skill glows red, and shoots green! I look like Santa clause! When will this get a fix? @ZOS_Kevin

Santa Claus?! xD Damn, you're even in a worse position than me.

Anyway, I really don't understand the point of ZoS selling weapon cosmetics just for them to be hidden by default skill effects. I really don't get it. Shouldn't it be the other way around? We should be buy weapon cosmetics to hide the ugly default effects, no? Well... I don't know anymore. Maybe it does make sense. Buy cosmetics just to have them hidden behind other effects so no one can actually see them.

Yeah I don't understand. You'd think crownstore stuff would be the one thing that does work. I think there was some technical explanation about why its not possible for grim focus but I don't want to hear that, alls I am hearing is they can't change a RGB value on a paid cosmetic so the cosmetic is pointless and we shouldn't buy it.

There might be some technical explanation for why it isn't possible. Sure, I'll give them that. But I still believe that, when there's a problem, there's also a solution.
Couldn't they simply make a skill style with a completely transparent weapon effect? No blue, no red, no green, no fancy glow... just nothing. The skill still works, but the weapon cosmetic we actually paid for remains visible.
That would potentially solve the problem for every skill that insists on covering up our weapon styles.
But hey, what do I know? Maybe creating a transparent effect is some kind of forbidden ancient Dwemer technology!!

It's just a little crazy that we're buying (or not) weapon cosmetics, only for the game to immediately slap a skill effect over them and say, "Thanks for your purchase. You can't see it, but trust us, it's there".

I just wish we could disable the glowing weapon effects altogether, at least client-side, for me they're garish and unnecessary.

I'm not sure if u51 will be handling that as well as other things, but I'm crossing my fingers.

Apocrypha Bound Staff is amazing, yes. Until we cast ex: Tome-Bearer’s Inspiration. Then the effects become too damn green, too damn big, and too damn ugly!
That’s why the Arms Packs we buy from the Crown Store should hide those ugly free effects. At least, every other game seems to work like that: you get the free ugly stuff, but you can hide it with the paid stuff.
    ESO is... just different!
Free ugly stuff, then we pay for pretty stuff, only for it to stay hidden behind the ugly effects. ESO... is indeed very different!
