I agree. The removal of chapters also removed a big part of my passion for the game.

There is also not enough new content anymore for someone like me to play daily or weekly.

Because they want to stretch the limited content they can produce now they hide it behind more and more tedious grind.

Love ESO but... there's just so much emphasis on things like pursuits and tomes etc. I can't ignore them when I'm constantly prompted to register having opened a chest or defeated a difficult mob etc (and I can't move on until I've done so), and it just changes the whole feel of the game for me so I rarely bother to log in now. All it needs is the ability to opt out of such things.

Yes, the onscreen pop-up to collect your tome points is a bit annoying. I know the intention is to ensure you know where you are in your tasks, but I wish they'd just auto-collect in the background and I'll check them when I'm ready. They could even push something to chat that says "Collect ore 1/5" or whatever. I don't have an issue with tomes, but I have everything I want from the tome and like 26k extra points, I don't need to be reminded of my task status.

It’s great that these addon authors have provided a way around it, but it is a horrible design choice that needs to be changed.

There is a whole class named Necromancer.
    You can become a Vampire.
And Conjuration magic is found in skill trees like Sorcerer's Conjure Ward spell etc

Love ESO but making a new character feels like climbing a hill with a rock on your back, especially having to wait a week or two for mount training so you can actually travel at a good speed

To be honest seeing a zone post saying come join our guild we do ball group runs. Clearly someone has “respect” for them.

One thing is clear from reading the forums these days: The enthusiasm people had for seasons instead of chapters must’ve been a limited‑time event.

The game is buggy and lopsided enough without the unresponsive controls and skills not firing.

I can relate to getting annoyed at myself for doing mindless busywork. I didn't have to do this, but I opened a few tome points caches early on this season so I could get myself off the challenge hamster wheel sooner. During the first season, I looked forward to Tuesdays to see which challenges I'd get. I don't even think about Tuesdays now. The novelty wore off pretty quick.

Also, for the first time this week, I stopped logging in daily. I expect that to continue.

I love ESO but it’s not fun anymore.

This year has been rough on my playtime and the FOMO has killed my desire to play for the time being.

There’s so much focus on engagement and store incentives that the core of the game is weakened. Even with stuff like the horse training redo or tome points expirations, they can’t just do what players actually want. It has to be what their engagement strategies want.

I don’t feel like they have or will make progress on the lacking rewards in the game. Every attempt thus far has resulted in more FOMO, more prompts, more RNG. It’s just not fun.

The content that actually does come out is pretty thin. Things like Writhing Wall, Night Market, and the Sheo quest all demonstrate this. Take the latter - the worthwhile rewards were in the GP, not the quest. Even during the height of the better Chapter years, the volume of content is so much smaller compared to other MMOs.

Last but not least, I have no more patience for the combat direction. Simple asks like having the devs sharing parses can’t be done. PVE being nerfed because of PVP. New playstyles being introduced only to be nerfed out of relevance a patch or two later. I don’t see this getting better with the current teams.

And the way the Warden topic was handled was the final straw. I simply can’t imagine treating a topic like that were this any other workplace.

I miss the days when there were things to explore and discover in the game. They’re done for me. Maybe that will change, but nothing right now says it will.

Used to love ESO but since introduction of Seasons and no more chapters, my interest has declined by about 80% and i spend a lot less time logged into the game.
