Best mounts always locked behind crates.

for long time i have observed that ZOS keeps its best designed mounts and other effects / animations are acquired through crown creates, basically I'm one of many that don't like gambling and puts my money where i may or may not get the stuff i paid for.

and the problem is i have seen people open 60 or even 100+ crates for a mount that they will not get, while the other option is using gems but having 2500 gems that you need to open at least 200+ crates in order to reach that number of gems.
i don't mind you list items like apex mount to be purchased with crowns, even if it was 10K crown for it, at least i know what I'm getting.

and yes you will mention it can owned through seals of endeavors but not always you will have 16K when something is listed, and its not like we have a system that let you get soe from various places like "currency converter".

i hope i can see more options available for players who loves the game and the brilliant designs been put in making content that people can own.

It’s all about money. But then I complain that I’ve stopped spending money on Arms Packs because I can’t even see them properly due to ugly skill effects. So, I really don’t know what to say... It’s all about money, but it seems like they only care about getting money from this item or that item. I just don’t get it!

I wish they would do more GP like the one right now, give us 20 crates, it's not like we get anything good anyway from them, but we can break stuff down for gems and buy what we want instead of RNG. I can't be mad about bad RNG for crates you get from pursuits or the tomes. I can only imagine someone who spent 100s of dollars on crates and gets some face paint and a crab pet (why is it always a crab lol)

I truly love this one:

Being rewarded for ressing other players? Believe me, I’ve never rezzed so many people, and I see other players ressing others very quickly too. This should be permanent. Res 20~50 players = 1 box!
I swear, I’ve ressed more people during this mission than in the entire time I’ve been playing this game.

as i mentioned if ZOS want money, let them put the mounts with high crown, im willing and many to pay to get that mount,
but i wont pay for getting nothing.
its really simple.

I like how you can unlock most of the GP by just playing the game (kill 500 mobs, complete 30 quests) for the last few I got a guildie to go and kill some WBs with me. I did actually get some cool stuff from the crates, and I did a lot of fishing, which is a part of the game I never did before. So if they keep doing this, it'll be a great thing, you get players to engage with more niche parts of the game like fishing, and in return they get goodies

There are definitely options for people who don't want/can't afford to pay, but the fact is, you don't have to pay at all. If you want something but don't want to pay for it, that's the end of the story. The game needs to make money, and if people really want something, they will pay for it.

Perhaps not a particularly popular position on this, but mounts are pretty much functionally identical if you ignore passenger capacity and there aren't all that many multi-rider mounts out there anyway. Until ZOS provide some way for the rest of us to suppress the flash, visual effects, sound effects, and whatnot, I'm pretty content to keep those things paywalled. In fact, I'd be very much in favor of any player who triggers one of those to be required to pay 100g to every player within visual/audio range each time they mount up. No gold, no mounting, but the non-blingy mounts would cost nothing and I'd be willing to carve out an exception for anyone who grinds the 16K seals to buy one that way. Those folks worked for their bling, but I'd still like to be able to suppress those effects on my end.

So… basically what ZOS is releasing in a month?

Note there’s not a “turn effects completely off” option… yet. But they are suggesting it’s coming. But “reduce effects” will be a thing as of Sept 28

It's in the patch notes from PTS week 1, but I haven't observed it on PTS and will reserve judgement. I don't do bling (mounts, skill styles, armor/weapon styles, etc. - got one toon who has and uses Coldharbour Recall, I think) so the settings wouldn't have done anything to/for any of my characters on PTS and PTS hasn't been exceptionally well populated, so I haven't noticed anything with other players.

killing it with all that bling on a level 3 char with not much else going for him

breath a sigh of relief it looks a little less blingy when not caught in an eso screenshot, lots of seals paid do i get a free pass ? so much bling infact the actual mount leaves a trail of bling in its footsteps while moving...actually a very pretty mount in game well worth the 16k seals and more

so i would say the majority get their bling mounts through seals only, basically creates are rip off since you pay and you get nothing.

Crates are meant to be bought 25-50 a piece, and then you use all the potions and scrolls to get gems, and then you use THE GEMS to buy what you wanted the whole time (or you can just bypass this and buy crowns directly)

I've noticed to that recently the better mounts are getting increasingly expensive and are available exclusively for crowns - ridiculously high amounts of crowns at that. I shudder to think how much some of them would equate to in rl currency...

It is not a problem that things are in lootboxes but it is a problem that lootboxes are the only way to get good things in this game. It is clearly predatory strategy from mobile gaming.

Another issue for me are loot boxes himself. I don't mind to pay to get item I want and support the game but I hate gambling I despise it.

I much more appreciate what WOW does. They have hundreds mounts achievable in game, the coolest one hidden behind achievements and secrets. Yeah you can buy cool mounts as well but they are a small fraction of thos that are in game. And none of them in lootboxes, you know what are you paying for.

Crown Store should be addition to the game not the game only source of goodies

i got one of those packs for a nice shield skin but when i use shield throw the whole shield disappears from my character..
imagine me not wasting money on skins again

i do understand the studio have to make money and the store is kinda the only way, players dont mind pay for cosmetics that designers work hard to make, but locking it behind creates that everyone knows it will never drops from.

my point is, list the items to be bought with crowns, even if the mount will cost 10k ~ 15K and let both options for players to decide.

The mounts in crates are the worst mounts in the game, in my opinion.
