The game internally distinguishes class abilities from other sources of damage and healing. That category is no longer limited exclusively to active skills cast from a class skill line.
Several class-set effects have recently been updated to count as class abilities belonging to their respective classes. Examples include Corpseburster, Aetheric Lancer, and Monolith of Storms. This allows their damage to interact consistently with mechanics that specifically reference class abilities.
I would like the Sorcerer effect from Class Flourish to receive the same internal classification.
The Sorcerer flourish enchants the closest pet to heal an ally whenever that pet deals damage or, without a pet, deals Shock Damage around the first target. Despite being explicitly class-specific in both theme and function, its resulting damage is not currently treated as originating from a Sorcerer class ability.
Classifying the flourish this way would make the underlying rules more consistent: if non-active effects created specifically for one class can count as that class’s abilities, the class-specific effects of Class Flourish should be eligible for the same treatment.
