A lack of dps representation is effectively an extinction. Since I benched my PvP templar I have leveled up another character with another class to Grand Overlord, it has been years since templar was fun to play.

my two templars have different identities, i would say any of the the damage dealers damage is a representation and i have never had any problem in PvE content that does not ask me to go above and beyond, that being said i have always enjoyed my templars through thick and thin as to not care about what happens behing the curtains anyway, i dont mind postinng which i enoy most (enjoying them all) but to make a real comparison between my chars label one as dead is never going to happen
also, i have cleared vet content with just quarter of the damage my templar doles out now, the new unofficial PvE mechs are what can we damage enough to skip the mech
trust me you are not missing much in PvE and i doubt your Templar is really extinct too, benched is benched you put yourself there same as we all do with our chars at some point for one reason or another
edit: would just like to add i doubt my templar would ever get above 100k dps on a dummy target but thats just the way i play it, maybe 80k
think of real pve back in the day like this: 45k dps easy vet dlc clear today: 170k dont what kind of clear to call that.
the mix of trying to tone pvp and pve just does not work together, fine tuning end game trials for the best outcome just does not work further down the ladder, im pretty sure my words are guesswork in most areas and mostly just my thoughts but the player count says alot more about the current situation. have more people started no enjoy eso lateely with the sweeping majoy changes and tweaks and talk of what works and what does not ? no.because i have played eso for so long any changes just make me laugh (remembers when HA sorcs hit the screen and lets be honest at thier height they wold fit right and nicelt into eso today) and i play on until the next big issue but its not to funny for alot of players
lastly thinking all classes are equal and trying to make it that way ? just does not work
i myself wouls say im not greatly skilled in eso pve but trying to wash over others skill levels put in with time and bisic skilll playing the game with whats been thrown out did not pass the final hurdle either
