I know this is probably futile to say, but you are very unlikely to convince anyone of your stance by being aggressive towards them.
Rather, you are likely to cause enmity towards your stance in some who would have otherwise been indifferent or receptive. I do not completely disagree with everything you've said, but I find your tone off-putting, which makes engaging with you difficult.

Well, sorry about that. I like to be direct when expressing my opinion about all of this. I understand that my tone can sometimes come across as a bit aggressive, but that is not my intention at all.
Believe me, every time I speak seriously in real life, that's the impression people seem to get as well, that I'm being aggressive. Well... sorry about that.

Fair enough. Some things you may want to avoid if you don't want to elicit such a negative response is not bolding text unnecessarily to imply louder tone, not using mocking phrasing like "cya bye bye" and not posting derisive memes. But of course you communicate however you want. And this is getting very off-topic so I will leave it at that.

I really believe my "Cya bye bye" was more than fair in that context. In fact, it as a harmless way of saying: if you don't have any argument to add to the discussion, then there's really no point in continuing the conversation.
I understand that you may find the phrasing mocking or dismissive, and that's fair.
If we're going to discuss the actual argument, I'm happy to do that. If not, then "Cya bye bye" seems like a pretty mild way of ending the conversation with someone who comes into the discussion just to fight.

It is upset that it turned into something other than what it had looked like we were going to be getting.

[snip] You can play them at your own pace with an easy level of difficulty. What you wanted is there. It's not "something other than what it had looked like we were getting" because it's both what you thought we were getting in addition to more challenging content as well. [snip]

[DELETE] After so many [snip][snip], my answer has been completely taken out of context.

Ok, after the cleanup, here's a summary:

The misfortune that made light and heavy attacks deal 0 damage was probably an oversight and has been fixed on PTS. Now it's a flat 30% damage reduction across the board. (Feels a bit high, but at least now HA builds and la/ha proc sets work again.)

The difficulty levels had been discussed from the beginning. After the first mention there was a slight confusion whether solo dungeons and story mode are going to be separate or not, but as we now see, they are one.

The dungeon quest is repeatable so you can listen to the story as many times as you want.

The rewards are also available at low difficulty levels.

    0 Misfortunes - Story Mode
    • Comparable to overland difficulty with bosses being easier than base game world bosses
    • 5pc set pieces
    • Small chance of monster set (as opposed to veteran difficulty in group dungeons)
    • Chance of leads and other rewards

    1 Misfortune - Normal Difficulty
    • 5pc set pieces
    • Chance of monster set, bust, style page and gold companion gear (as opposed to veteran difficulty in group dungeons)
    • Increased chance of other rewards

    2 Misfortunes - Veteran Difficulty
    • 5pc set pieces
    • Guaranteed monster set and bust
    • Moderate chance of style page, gold companion gear and other rewards

3 Misfortunes - Veteran Hard Mode Difficulty
    • 5pc set pieces
    • Guaranteed monster set and bust
    • Best chance of style page, gold companion gear and other rewards

So, those who want a challenge have it. And those who want a more casual experience can still collect most rewards in story mode and every rewards with only 1 misfortune (equivalent of normal difficulty).
