Female characters with skirts instead of pants?

I recall that in Oblivion and Skyrim all armor used by female characters was automatically converted into a skirt or dress. I really miss that feature in ESO. I would like to thank the developers for the variety in armors in this game, but in my opinion the armors aren't feminine enough for female characters.

There is no such thing as feminine armor.

    There is just armor.

I have to say, I rather like how the armor is not dresses or skirts. I'd rather the armor be more realistic than some anime femme fatale style.

Maybe robes for mage-types... But with all the running around my girl does, not sure! I'd hate for her to trip over skirts fleeing a troll. ;)

I like the light armor they have put in game for females. Much better robes than Skyrim IMO. The only minor issue I have is most of the armor covers everything. Realistic though it may be, I suspect I wasted time applying body art when I generated my character. Other than a few low-level Redguard and Bosmer light armors and one Argonian low-level medium armor that shows the lower leg, all the armor is full coverage.

With the slaughter our characters wreak in ESO, I wonder why there is eye wink to death and an aversion to showing any skin. And no I am not talking about the masquerade ball light female armors of GW2. There is a middle ground. I don't think it is possible to have a Conan or Red Sonia look with what we have so far. I could be wrong, I've only gotten to level 40.

However, with some of the less than juvenile comments I have seen in chat lately, maybe Zeni got it right with full coverage. I can imagine what chat would devolve into if there we had access to the fur or Forsworn armors of Skyrim.

Goodness NO! I love that they have resisted the urge to cater to teenagers that can only think of one thing. Also much more realistic when it comes to female body parts, no 65 EEEEE breasts spilling out on every single female character.

No, for the love of Talos, no, never again! I hated it in the other TES games. It was so disappointing when I looted a good looking armor, then put it on only to discover it automagically turns into an awful female version.

Give us a choice, don't automatically assume that women want to or should wear skirts - or that men want to wear pants, for that matter. Armor is armor, it looks mostly the same for both sexes (sometimes like a skirt, it can happen, but make it consistent - like Imperial armor in Skyrim). As for clothes - in this case, light armor - we should be able to choose between robes and jerkins.

I don't recall that, I remember that Female characters wore the same stuff as the men, just the breastplates were a bit more, shall we say defined.

The thing is in a real fight armour is just armour, so long as it fits, and protects, nobody cares what it looks like. The idea of Feminine armour is from the likes of Xena and Conan, and pure fiction.

Hum , well i support this.

More variety that can please even more players is usually good.

The only thing I remember like that from Oblivion was the clothing, where pants became a skirt.

Hrm lets see off the top of my head. Romans wore skirts, Spartans wore skirts. Many soldiers in our history wore skirts/kilts type things. So I'm all for it in game.
