Mist form

Recently, I tried to use the vampire’s Mist Form, and it felt quite… horrible. Why does this ability have ground targeting? It makes it completely unreliable in dynamic combat. Most of the time, my character accidentally teleports just a few steps away because I don’t have time to aim properly.

You have to target a specific location (which is even more complicated with a gamepad) wait for the character to wave their arms, and then slowly move to the targeted point. Meanwhile, a sorcerer can just press a button and immediately appear in the direction the camera is facing.

I understand that Mist Form is not Streak and was not intended to be. I’m not asking for an unblockable stun or extra damage, but at least the escape part of this skill could be more reliable.

I would make it like streak but have it so instead of stunning the opponent you go invisible for 3 seconds after it lands

Morph 1: adds 30% movement speed when the effect ends
Morph 2: Absorbs health equal to 50% of the damage dealt.

Yeah it's freaking bad, it used to be a toggle and was changed 3 years ago

Streak is "balanced" as an escape tool precisely because it is restricted. As sensible as that sounds. But it also means that it isn't balanced amongst it's own class now that it has been buffed over the years.

I don't think there's anyone out there that wouldn't argue that skill A is an inferior form of skill B, but the context of the changes and overall budget of the skill matters.

Also, going into invisibility after using mist form? That would be literal broken in PvP considering invisibility is the most powerful mechanic in the game (as long as it has a forced miss on activation and can continue to suppress some DoTS like it does on live).

Not to mention cloak is getting adjusted on the PTS and the suggested change would be far stronger than cloak ever was or could be in any reality.

Realistically invisibility isn't a good mechanic in the game, not in competive spaces at least. Unless it funcitons differently on live where it pretty much makes you untargetable and gives that frame of time where you can't be damaged, it simply should not be added to any more things that it already exists on. Not without a major build concession.
