I got the Xanmeer crates, but there was nothing I liked in them. Welwa, Nix Ox, green face paint... bleh.

I haven't actually done duels, I make a guild event out of it and we get a lot of people to stand in the lava trap in Elinhir Private Estate, usually get 10-20 revives per go

Don't even need the Elinhir Arena. There's lava all over Tamriel.

True, but in Elinhir, there's an interaction that causes the player to die immediately after revives

Did it on 3 accounts, got a lot of body and face markings, some domestic non-combat pets I'l never use, a couple of 'ordinary' mounts which look almost the same as mounts I already had, a couple of emotes, parts of outfit styles, and gems which I could put to good use.
I opened 60 crates in total, disappointed in the outcome.

Opened all the crates from this and a few extra from the last pages of the Tome and still managed to get nothing but junk except for a few non combat pets to follow around.

Since they were free, I guess I'm ok with the outcome but I sure would not spend money to buy a crate given how bad the rng worked for these.

I got one mount and a few skins, which I don't anticipate using. I certainly don't feel any more inclined to splurge on crates. Also, 5 crates is just too little. It should have been 20-25 of each variety.

Eh, oh well, it was something to do. Back to hiatus until the High Seas event, I guess.

I setup the DK combo to hit as soon as the duel began. The opponent was dying within 1 second of the duel consistently. I then used Dragon Blood to heal them after resing.

I'm happy to be once again reminded why I NEVER spend real money on gamble boxes. My collections menu is swollen further with junk I'll never use.

Got a decent amount of gems though, so not a total loss.

I only get crates in cases like these, but I feel like the number of gems you get for duplicate items has gone way down lately. Oh well I can’t complain too much if they’re free but yeah, no incentive to buy them after these experiences.

It was the easiest GP I have done. I just did daily writs with all my characters and quests were fast done. All I "farmed" was the WB loop in Stonefalls with mates and it was fun.

Now, if we could get rid of the crown crates all together.. now that would be the bomb.

This is the best Golden Pursuit so far in my opinion. I can finally play the game in a way I want to play while also getting meaningful rewards and not being fomoed into doing things I have no interest doing.

It took me a pleasant 2 hours to get all the activities other than PvP or Revive related to get all the rewards. And, I did not even fish. For the most part, this is "while you are there" content, not something you have to go out of the way to accomplish.

The most daunting of these might be the World Bosses, but you hang out in the original 15 Alliance zones, there are always players going after the 1.6 Million Health WBs in those zones. Don't try to do this part in the DLC zones if your looking for efficiency.

There are usually a few people hanging around Soulfire Plateau, though unfortunately this time they only count as one boss (in a recent one they counted as 3.)

At least I got a mount and it gave me something to do for a couple hours! Now back to nothing to do, no quests.

As for group dungeons, you can just solo FG1. Skip but might go back and do the crab boss, the mudcrab swarm might the worth killing 500 enemy credit.
