I'm curious though, why save a quest item in the bank that can't be used for anything else ever again?

I guess, I found it one day with one of my toons, and didn't know where it come from or what it was for, and just secure it in my bank for no reason. Not the most clever action, obviously, but well...

It does. But it doesn't disappear before you've read it and thereby started quest. The problem is that it is not read automatically, you need to interact with it from your inventory to start quest, and it happens to be not so obvious for players.
Thanks, I found Nedras Book in my bank account! It have been there for years, I guess....
So, I could finish the quest. Thanks a lot.
HI All. Thanks for flagging this. We are aware of this issue and believe this will be resolved in Update 51.
We were able to squeeze this fix into U50 Inc. 3, happening on Aug. 10. However, this does need to go live and tested for us to verify the fix worked as intended. This issue only showed up on the Live Server and not our internal environments. So that is why we need to verify on the live server.
I completed whole Stonefals and Skywatch today,
but last Freerunners Glenumbra quest is still broken.
I took the quest and went straight from Glenumbra to Stormheaven.
It still autodeletes itself after arrival to designated Soulshriven wayshrine in Stormheaven.
...I whish we could edit/delete comments/discussions to remove mistakes after second look, but we can't.

We can.The edit button is still there, it's just invisible like all the icons next to our name at the top of the page. We have to click around where they should be until we find them.

Omg, thank you so much, found the buttons.
Still no delete, but at least edit.
