Return shattered paths to pvp, buff for pve

In pvp with damage buff disabled completely the mythic has basically been turned into a debuff with no upsides, a status effect every 2s is nothing. Now it’s a set that does more bad than good which is ridiculous.
Enable the damage buff for pvp again but instead of halving it make just reduce it further, make it a quarter or something, I’m sure it’s not difficult to find that golden spot. But turning a set into a straight up detriment to yourself is preposterous.
(imho it didn’t need any nerfs for now at least as it carried some non reworked classes and somewhat bridged the huge gap between them and dk, ww.
And personally I enjoyed high damage gameplay, most players have long been exhausted by the ever prevalent tank meta, having to actually play instead of face eating all damage felt very refreshing)

It was nerfed for pve too which makes even less sense because it wasn’t bis anywhere to begin with. If anything it should’ve been buffed further in pve. It was fun alternative that many players enjoyed, why not make a more competitive dd option?

Well DK doesn't use it, so it's not allowed to be strong. That's pretty much the baseline for balancing pvp at this point.

As they scream at the sky, GH - "The Wardens were killing our DK and Werewolves!" But they think nerfing them is the answer. We were keeping them in check😎

Disagree. Keep it out of PvP. Then they can buff it all they want in PvE.

Read the actual post. Having pve only mythics is lame. They could bring down the damage first instead of obliterating the set completely right away. I’m sure it wouldn’t be hard to find the sweet spot where it’s still useful but not overly powerful.

I agree that it is extremely lame if something is PvE or PvP only. PvE doesn't need extreme cheese, PvP breaks from extreme cheese. They should always strife for reasonable solutions.

That being said, they were trying to do too much for status effects and it got out of hand.
The status rework that added damage - fair enough.
Dropping Signet and Static Reverberation (with single target direct damage status proc chance, up to 10% chance every 0.3s) in the same patch - a blind person could have seen how that wasn't gonna be fair.

This has been one of ZOS longest standing issues. They add power to something or release something strong in a certain ecosystem with rules and limitations. And half a year later they find a way to violate their own safety constraints, probably because they forget about them.
Proc sets violating timing rules, CCs violating immunity rules, limiting the power of status ticks with standardized tick rates across the board (1s for AoE DoTs and 2s for single target DoTs) only to release a Single Target Direct Source for Concussed that can proc 3-6 times more often with 3.33-10 times higher base proc chance (up to 30x more potent than AoE DoTs, up to 18x more potent than single target DoTs, just based on frequency and status proc chance).

I would like to see them find a good iteration for the Signet, but they will have to revisit some status sources first. The cost on Ele Sus was a good first step.

For all I care give us more damage.
Having enough damage to threaten those 50k dk/ww and healers felt like a breath of fresh air. Sure I’m facing same high damage but now I actually had to actively play the game to survive and it felt rewarding which is so very rare for eso’s pvp.

I know players who returned for the high damage meta, myself included and left again after it was nuked because it’s fun and what we usually have is not.

Let unprepared players with bad/pve gear and no knowledge of pvp die in 1-2 hits. They will learn and improve, if not it’s totally on them. It’s how games work!

Signet doesn’t need to come back to PVP for that to be case. It’s always been like that in Cyro and BGs. Then the unprepared players cry on the forums about how this mythic or that class is killing them, and it gets nerfed.

It's because they're biased against Wardens. Sorcerer is next. Remove all mythics from PvP. That's fair. All of them or none of them.

Absolutely not. Most of us PVP players spent a significant amount of time grinding for these mythics to use in our builds. Hell, I don’t even engage in PVE unless it’s to farm some new mythic or set. Outright invalidating people’s effort is part of the reason most heavy-handed nerfs see a lot of pushback.

So we should absolutely restore Shattered Path. And not have it nerfed only to the Warden's Bear and Class Mastery right?

So you should be given an "I win" button because you grinded for something? How's that balanced?

Fact of the matter is that it does not belong in PvP. If they put it back I will prove it doesn't belong on day 1 with multiple recursive builds that I am using in the Archive to cheese the bosses.

Spoiler: even without signet they can kill players with only one hit, and there isn't an escape or counter. But we cannot talk about that YET because it will get sorc nerfed.

I’m down for Signet returning. Really ridiculous it was basically and completely ‘removed’ from PvP in a hotfix versus absolutely any actual ‘balancing’.

Just make werewolf in PvP benefit at a reduced rate (just like Feral) and it should be fine imho.
