Has ESO/ZOS attended to the block bug?

Yesterday I ran IA but everytime I went to block an attack, I couldn`t block. I have the addon Am I Blocking and it works just fine out of combat but when I`m in combat there is no blocking. I got stunned so many times and I blocked. I just started roll dodging because of the block bug. The AOE`s are terrible as well and with the block problem and your standing in an AOE, you will get killed very fast. It seems the block bug only happens during combat so I`m thinking that the problem is lag or response. Tell me what you think.

For the long standing block bug, we took several steps last year and early this year to fix the block bug. So it should not be a wider spread issue anymore. There still may be some instances of it from time to time, but most instances were dealt with over the last 12 months. If you are running into a consistent issue with blocking, please record the issue and then send it to us via a ticket or this thread. Happy to get this into the right hands for investigation.

Oh.. happened to me a few times last time Fang Lair was pledge. I died 3 times to Scarab spit that dealt 40K damage becouse block didnt register. I was tanking with my Arcanist Werewolf in WW form.

If you were tanking the last boss then there is no blocking the spit. You have to have a DPS close and kill the Scarab fast. I tanked that on HM and we made it to the wall phase but the scarab are really hard to get.

Here is the proof that the block is being dropped. the first two are necromancers that I was trying to block cast with, there is a moment when the block is being dropped. The clannfear attack clearly shows the block IS being dropped because after I cast the flail I was blocking the whole time.

On the subject of blocking, block sometimes prevents me from using abilities. While holding block I keep pressing a skill but it doesn’t go off for up to several seconds. Got to do with server performance probably as it often happens in pvp especially when many players are present. But it’s different from the usual lag because at the same time skills cast normally if I’m not blocking. Don’t know if anyone else experiences this.

Yes, I block cast in Cyrodiil and sometimes the skills don’t fire.

I`m in Mehrunes spite overland dungeon, very little lag. The second fight I was blocking the whole time and letting Zerith do the attacking. As you can see the blocking is dropping and engage again. I don`t like PVPing so I try and stay away but the times that I go to look for a lorebook or go into a dungeon to get some named armor, there is lag. I just go ahead and let the lag end and try to comeback. What else can you do? I mean this has been going on for a long time, scar tissue!
