150% XP scrolls locked behind paywall

Has anyone else noticed how all the 150% xp scrolls are locked behind the premium upgrade paywall? We used to get those for free just for logging in. Additionally, they’ve added 150% alliance war scrolls which are also behind the paywall.

Melivar✭✭✭✭I thought it was only ever the 100% scrolls for the daily log in but maybe once in a while it was a 150. I have far less of them than the 100's.

Taarente✭✭✭✭You can get Mythic Aetherial Ambrosia gives a 150% bonus to xp and is available from traders. Not the cheapest but its available.5 -

✭✭✭✭✭The 150% ones were rare from daily login, it was usually 50% or, less common, 100% ones. And I don't remember the Alliance War Exp Scrolls ever dropping from login rewards.
The 150% ones aren't really necessary though. It's fairly quick to level even with the 50% ones if you do things like Skyreach, Dolmen runs, or have access to Blackrose Prison with a friend (this is by far the fastest way to level, you can fully level here in like 2 hours just redoing the first room over and over). There's also a CP in the Green Tree that lets your Skill Lines level faster, plus in U51 The Apprentice is going to be completely changed to give increased exp and Inspiration, so that'll make leveling even faster than it currently is.Edited by Arunei on August 12, 2026 2:12PMPC-NA | Been around since closed beta | Alt account: Arunei PC-NA

ZOS' approach on stuff like this has typically been "pay for convenience." It's not among my favorite design decisions, but there is a "free" workaround: go fishing, get Roe, make Mythic Aetherial Ambrosia. You either have to get really lucky to get the Aetherial Cypher to assemble the recipe and Aetherial Dust also is not a real common drop (think I've picked up one or two over the years that were not in an Anniversary coffer), or you end up going go guild traders and buying both for gold. But the fragments of the base-Ambrosia recipe drop from doing daily crafting writs and the Roe drops from fishing. Make sure you have 3 skill points into the Connoisseur passive before consuming and you'll get 50 minutes of 150% XP bonus from all sources. 10 minutes shorter than the scroll, but not paywalled. Also not limited; there are only four 150% scrolls available in the Tome, so 4 hours total per 3-4 months is not something which makes my heart go pitty-pat.I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭If you go back and review the monthly daily login rewards, 2025 alone had more Grand 150% XP scrolls than 50% and 150% combined. Usually because while each month normally awarded all three, the Grands always seemed to drop in stacks of 2 or 5 whereas the others were single item drops more often than not.

And that is my point, really. It’s not whether or not we can craft or buy items for xp— that has always been an option, but getting free rewards for logging in was a bonus. You didn’t need to buy the latest chapter or have a subscription. You only needed to log in.0
