Werewolf detection should probably have a cooldown, and definitely needs a range nerf

As a player who uses a WW in game I can tell you that it does not have godlike range.

A quick glance at terrain, especially if you have ever ganked, gives you a 50-75% accurate guess on enemy location choice.. Lots of good sorcs will drop their aoes in that spot without any form of detect required. Or pop their bird.

    People do people things.

A sorc is going be not far off their streak range.
A ganker is already behind you.
A warden is straight line shalks range -not behind the tree.
An experienced ganker is in a totally open area weighing up their choices.
A new player is hard up against the nearest tree or wall, defensive.
If you've played awhile, you know that X player likes to drop from above, or likes the box in Ash wall etc. It's not magic WW nose abilities at play.

A WW has a short detect window. Then it goes where you're likely to be. Then it tries detect again. It does NOT see you from Narnia.

Correct, above I proved that it is the exact same range as a detect pot (same as camo hunter on PTS I might add), consumes a GCD, and takes 5000 stam (just like camo hunter).

It’s pretty hilarious in fact that the detect range for cloak specifically (the only ‘stealth’ that has a true and real cost of any kind for a ganker) is a measly 20 min.

We have a group buff in PvE so we can be useful there and we have our ‘sniffer’ to be useful for NBs in PvE.

As meta changes, you’ll see less werewolves and additionally, maintaining the detect will come out significant loss for any ‘properly built wolf’ (high health, uniquely low stam bar) post any kind of sustain nerfs especially (please ZOS just remove the masteries in PvP).

Please just let us have at least 1 thing we’re useful for in both mediums of content for when they are finished nerfing us by 2031 :).

Why is it ALWAYS pvpers that complain about such things and ask for nerfs. This is why eso broke in the first place.

You're right, because the PvE community has never complained about something that had a negative change for PvP.

Maybe we should just - I don't know - have an entire set of rules for how things work in PvE and then an entire set of rules for how things work in PvP - beyond just battle spirit.

It's never made sense to me that, generally speaking, balance is handled across the game as a whole vs in isolation.
