Guild member joining/leaving notification shows Character Name

My settings are set to Prefer User ID, and the guild roster displays User ID, but when a member joins or leaves the guild the notification at the top right corner of the screen displays the character name. I can't find any settings or addons that would do this. Does anyone know how to change this to show User ID?

There is no way.

Even addons can't. The API only gives us Char name not @name, and I suspect ZOS doesn't even track @name when joining guilds.

That is confusing since the guild roster shows User ID. We see one name in the notification but have no idea who they are in the guild roster, unless we mouse over every User ID looking for that character name.

It's been this way since launch. Probably not going to change.

Yes it is confusing, and as a GM I hate it. But no hope of getting it fixed after the cuts.

It definitely made me think of this problem. I really wish it was userID!

I just noticed, in the Roster Activity Log where it keeps track of who joined or left or was promoted or demoted, etc... there it's all by User ID.
