A new day, a new surprise. Today's maintenance announced...today. 🙄
I half expected this response, so let me explain. I'm from Europe and only got to play in the morning yesterday, and the banner wasn't there. I only got to log in less than 24 hours later which is when I got this surprise. All I ask is for planned maintenance to be announced a bit earlier than less than 24 hours before it starts. Let's say 48 hours.A new day, a new surprise. Today's maintenance announced...today. 🙄
Nah, the banner was there yesterday, and I think it was there on Saturday but no 100% sure because... well, my memory is not in great shape.
Said that I agree with OP, now that Mayhem lasts only a week moving forward maybe the can work out a better maintenance schedule.

I did mean the forum banner. It wasn't there either I know, because I've made it a habit to take note and convert maintenace into my local timezone and put it in my ESO schedule planner. Crazy, but necessary with all the hoops they make us jump through nowadays.I half expected this response, so let me explain. Ah, I think I misread your post.
If you are referring to the 'banner' that appears both on the launcher and on the login screen that is correct, it was not there yesterday morning (referring to CET/BST 'morning').
It only 'manifested' in the evening.
I was referring to the forum banner.

I do not see why this event could not run for at least 2 weeks like it normally does. Due to it starting on Wednesday, I have only had 1 day to participate in it.
It does not give out anything extraordinary so it could even run for a month and not be a problem for the game.
